Abstract

Implementation of Drill Method in the Ability to Read Hijaiyah (Case Study on Children with Speech Delay Aged 5 Years at TKIT BINA BANGSA ISLAMIC SCHOOL Serang-Banten). Undergraduate Thesis (S-1) Early Childhood Education Teacher Department. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This study explains the implementation of the drill method in the reading ability of Hijaiyah Letters of speech delay children aged 5 years at TKIT Bina Bangsa Islamic School. The method used in this study is qualitative research, and is analyzed by means of descriptive analysis that clearly explains the data collected, and then uses a case study with an in-depth approach that emphasizes a deep understanding of the implementation of the drill method in the reading ability of Hijaiyah Letters in speech delay children aged 5 years at TKIT Bina Bangsa Islamic School. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the implementation of the drill method to improve the ability to read Hijaiyah Letters, Children can read or pronounce one to four letters during one semester. A child is categorized as being able to read a letter or hijaiyah letter if he can pronounce at least 60% of the hijaiyah letter.

Penelitian ini menjelaskan implementasi metode drill dalam kemampuan membaca Huruf Hijaiyah anak speech delay usia 5 tahun anak TKIT Bina Bangsa Islamic School. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dan dianalisis dengan cara analisa deskriptif yang menjelaskan secara jelas data-data yang dikumpulkan, dan kemudian menggunakan study kasus dengan pendekatan mendalam yang menekankan pada pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap implementasi metode drill dalam kemampuan membaca Huruf Hijaiyah pada anak speech delay usia 5 tahun di TKIT Bina Bangsa Islamic School. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan metode drill untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Huruf Hijaiyah ini, Anak dapat membaca atau melafazkan satu sampai empat surat selama satu semester. Anak dikategorikan sudah bisa membaca suatu surat atau huruf hijaiyah apabila ia dapat melafazkan setidaknya 60% dari surat tersebut.
