Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of employee competence and organizational support perception on employee performance, with leadership style as a moderating variable. This study identifies a research gap related to the influence of employee competence and organizational support perception on employee performance, as well as how to construct an empirical research model to analyze the role of these variables. The method used is quantitative research with an explanatory research approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 93 respondents at the UPTD Lebak Road and Bridge Management, Banten Province PUPR Office. Data analysis techniques used Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 software. The analysis results indicate that employee competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Conversely, organizational support perception has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance. Leadership style was found to moderate the positive relationship between employee competence and employee performance, but leadership style moderated the relationship between organizational support perception and employee performance with a negative effect. This study is expected to assist in developing human resource management in the public sector, as it demonstrates that enhancing employee competence, implementing effective leadership styles, and evaluating organizational support to better align with employee needs are crucial.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi pegawai dan persepsi dukungan organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, dengan gaya kepemimpinan sebagai variabel moderasi. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi adanya gap riset terkait pengaruh kompetensi pegawai dan persepsi dukungan organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, serta bagaimana membangun model penelitian empirik untuk menganalisis peran variabel-variabel tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan explanatory research. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 93 responden di UPTD Pengelolaan Jalan dan Jembatan Lebak, Dinas PUPR Provinsi Banten. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4.0.9.9. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pegawai berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Sebaliknya, persepsi dukungan organisasi berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Gaya kepemimpinan terbukti memoderasi hubungan positif antara kompetensi pegawai dan kinerja pegawai, tetapi gaya kepemimpinan memoderasi hubungan persepsi dukungan organisasi dan kinerja pegawai dengan efek negatif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengembangkan manajemen sumber daya manusia disektor publik karena menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kompetensi pegawai, penerapan gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif, dan evaluasi dukungan organisasi agar lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan pegawai. | |||||||||
