Abstract
This research aims to determine the application of the problem based learning model to increase students' understanding of concepts in the science and science learning process in class V of SD Negeri Tembong 2. The method in this research uses quantitative methods and the research design is carried out using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample taken in the research was 48 class V students. The data collection technique used is a test consisting of a pre-test and post test. The data analysis technique uses data obtained in the form of N-Gain values. The results of the research show that the increase in students' conceptual understanding after applying the problem based learning model can be seen from the results of data processing. The N-gain value in the experimental class was obtained at 0.72, including the high category, which is better than the concept understanding of students who received conventional learning treatment in the class. controls got 0.31, including the medium category.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning untuk meningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran IPAS pada kelas V SD Negeri Tembong 2. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitaif dan desain penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sample dalam penelitian yang diambil yaitu, peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 48 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan merupakan tes terdiri dari pre-test dan post-test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan data yang diperoleh berupa nilai N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik setelah diterapkan model problem based leraning dapat dilihat dari hasil pengolahan data nilai N-gain pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh sebesar 0,72 termasuk kategori tinggi lebih baik dari pemahamn konsep peserta didik yang menerima perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas kontrol mendapatkan sebasar 0,31 termasuk kategori sedang. | |||||||||
