Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of profitability on company value and how dividend policy and capital structure mediate the relationship between profitability and company value. The sample used in this study is the Bisnis-27 index for the 2018-2022 period as many as 17 companies using purposive sampling techniques. The data used is secondary data obtained from financial statements and annual reports published on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and the official website of each company. The data analysis techniques used are path analysis and sobel test and data processing is carried out with the STATA version 17 statistical application. The results of the study show that profitability and dividend policy have a significant positive effect on the company's value. Profitability has a significant positive effect on dividend policy. Profitability has no effect on the capital structure. Capital structure has a significant negative effect on the value of the company. Dividend policy is able to mediate the relationship between profitability and company value, while capital structure cannot mediate the relationship between profitability and company value.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan dan bagaimana kebijakan dividen serta struktur modal memediasi hubungan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah indeks Bisnis-27 periode 2018-2022 sebanyak 17 perusahaan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan keuangan dan laporan tahunan yang dipublikasikan disitus resmi Bursa Efek Indonesia (www.idx.co.id) dan situs resmi masing-masing perusahaan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah path analysis dan uji sobel test dan pengolahan data dilakukan dengan aplikasi statistik STATA versi 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas dan kebijakan dividen berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Profitabilitas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kebijakan dividen. Profitabilitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal. Struktur modal berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Kebijakan dividen mampu memediasi hubungan antara profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan, sedangkan struktur modal tidak dapat memediasi hubungan antara profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan.
