Abstract
This study aims to analyze and describe the influence of TikTok social media on changes in learning motivation at Yaspita Serpong Junior High School. The background of this research stems from the increasing use of social media among teenagers, which has the potential to have both positive and negative impacts on their learning motivation. TikTok offers a space for students to express their creativity in understanding material through visual and interactive content. However, poorly managed social media use can be an obstacle in increasing learning motivation. In this study, a quantitative approach with purposive sampling method was used. The sample studied consisted of 25 Yaspita Serpong Junior High School students, the selection of respondents was based on predetermined criteria. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of Likert scale-based questionnaires, then analyzed using the simple linear regression method. Data processing was carried out using IBM SPSS version 22 software to ensure accurate and valid results. The results showed that students' activities in using TikTok also had a significant influence on learning motivation. This study suggests that the utilization of social media should be more focused on activities that support the learning process in order to improve student motivation and learning outcomes.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh media sosial TikTok terhadap perubahan motivasi belajar di SMP Yaspita Serpong. Latar belakang penelitian ini berakar dari meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial di kalangan remaja, yang berpotensi memberikan dampak positif maupun negatif terhadap motivasi belajar mereka. TikTok menawarkan ruang bagi siswa untuk mengekspresikan kreativitas mereka dalam memahami materi melalui konten yang bersifat visual dan interaktif. Namun, penggunaan media sosial yang tidak terkelola dengan baik dapat menjadi hambatan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode purposive sampling. Sampel yang diteliti terdiri dari 25 siswa SMP Yaspita Serpong, pemilihan responden dilakukan berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis skala Likert, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linier sederhana. Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan software IBM SPSS versi 22 untuk memastikan hasil yang akurat dan valid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa dalam menggunakan TikTok juga memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pemanfaatan media sosial lebih difokuskan pada aktivitas yang mendukung proses pembelajaran guna meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. | |||||||||
