Abstract

21st century learning demands fundamental changes in curriculum approaches and teaching methods to make them relevant to the needs of the times. SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon responded to these demands by adopting the Independent Curriculum which emphasizes the development of 21st century competencies, such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity skills, as well as digital literacy. This research aims to describe the optimization of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation process and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation in 21st century learning at SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through observations, interviews and documentation studies. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the factors contributing to the optimization of this learning method application include the relevance of the learning module that has implemented 4C (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) systematically from the beginning to the remedial stage. This module is prepared at the beginning of the semester so that in class, educators can deliver the learning material in a structured and effective manner. SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Kota Cilegon also has educators skilled in applying digital literacy media, which in turn encourages more optimal learning outcomes and supports the development of students' skills in the digital era. The principal's contribution in providing training and supporting teachers' creativity also plays a role in the successful implementation of this teaching method. This encouragement is what makes the adaptation process run smoothly, allowing teachers to effectively implement the Merdeka Curriculum and positively impact the quality of learning at SDIT. Even though there are still challenges, such as increasing mastery of technology and management of infrastructure, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon City is in accordance with 21st century learningprinciples that are relevant to the demands of the modern era.

Additional Information: Pembelajaran abad ke-21 menuntut perubahan mendasar dalam pendekatan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran agar relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman. SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon merespons tuntutan ini dengan mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pengembangan kompetensi abad ke-21, seperti keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan kreativitas, serta literasi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan optimalisasi proses implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapannya pada pembelajaran abad ke-21 di SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa faktor yang ikut berkontribusi dalam pengoptimalan pengaplikasian metode pembelajaran ini mencakup relevansi modul belajar yang telah menerapkan 4C (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) yang tersusun secara sistematis dari awal hingga akhir. Modul ini disusun di awal semester sehingga dalam kelas, tenaga pendidik dapat menyampaikan materi pembelajaran dengan terstruktur dan efektif. SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Kota Cilegon juga memiliki tenaga pendidik yang terampil dalam menerapkan media literasi digital, yang pada gilirannya mendorong output belajar yang lebih optimal dan mendukung perkembangan keterampilan siswa di era digital. Kontribusi kepala sekolah dalam menyediakan pelatihan dan mendukung kreativitas guru juga ikut berkontribusi dalam menyukseskan penerapan metode pembelajaran ini. Dorongan inilah yang menjadikan proses adaptasi berjalan dengan lancar, sehingga para guru dapat mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka secara efektif dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas pembelajaran di SDIT. Meskipun masih terdapat tantangan, seperti peningkatan penguasaan teknologi dan pengelolaan sarana prasarana, namun penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di SDIT Raudhatul Jannah Kota Cilegon sudah sesuai dengan prinsip pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang relevan dengan tuntutan era modern.
