Abstract

This research is motivated by the inability of online learning to foster students' science process skills, which is one of the skills that students must have after carrying out science learning activities. The low level of science process skills is caused by several factors, one of which is: when learning activities are carried out online, more lecture methods are used than other methods. Based on the problem analysis, a mini research project-based learning tool was developed with the help of the facebook application on the theme of natural disasters to foster students' science process skills. This study aims to determine the validity of learning tools and determine whether there is growth in science process skills after being taught using the learning tools that have been developed. The research model used is Research and Development or Thiagarajan's development research model which consists of four stages of development, namely the Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate stages. The instruments used to collect data are interview instruments, validation questionnaire sheets, pre-test and post-test sheets. The results showed that the overall value of learning device experts and media experts received an average value of 89.3% which fell into the ‘very valid’ category. And the results of the hypothesis test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 and a result value of 11.222. Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05 and the result value (11.222) > t table (2.045) indicates that there is an effect of learning devices on students' KPS. It can be concluded that the learning device is suitable for use and can foster students' science process skills.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari kurang mampunya pembelajaran secara online (daring) untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yang menjadi salah satu keterampilan yang harus dimiliki peserta didik setelah melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran IPA. Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya seperti: pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring lebih banyak menggunakan metode ceramah dibandingkan metode lainnya. Berdasarkan analisis masalah maka dikembangkanlah perangkat pembelajaran berbasis proyek mini riset dengan berbantuan aplikasi Facebook tema bencana alam untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran dan mengetahui apakah terjadi pertumbuhan keterampilan proses sains setelah dibelajarkan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development atau model penelitian pengembangan Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari empat tahap pengemabangan, yaitu tahap Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, yaitu instrumen wawancara, lembar angket validasi, lembar pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai keseluruhan dari ahli perangkat pembelajaran dan ahli media mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 89,21% yang masuk ke dalam kategori “sangat valid”. Dan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 dan nilai thasil 11,222. Nilai Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai thasil (11,222) > ttabel (2,045) menunjukkan ada pengaruh perangkat pembelajaran terhadap KPS peserta didik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran sudah layak untuk digunakan dan dapat menumbuhkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik.
