Abstract
Towards the general election agenda, each political party will compete with each other to get public votes and one of the determining factors in winning the election is the strategy implemented by political parties in their political communication efforts during the campaign period. In the 2019 election for candidates for the South Tangerang City DPRD, PSI which is a new party experienced a polemic which made people label it as a non-Muslim party. PSI still managed to win four of its candidates to occupy seats in the South Tangerang City DPRD, including Ferdiansyah and Emanuella Ridayati. So that the formulation of the problem is how the political communication efforts of Ferdiansyah and Emanuella Ridayati as elected legislative candidates for the South Tangerang City DPRD PSI faction in the 2019 election-cultural, and social relations can affect political communication. This qualitative research uses a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that Ferdiansyah and Emanuella political communication efforts experienced various obstacles such as limited campaign costs, rejection, hate speech due to the stigma of PSI which is a nonMuslim party, and references to other political parties that have been owned and prioritized in several regions.

| Additional Information: | Menjelang agenda pemilihan umum tiap partai politik akan saling bersaing untuk mendapatkan suara publik dan salah satu faktor yang menjadi penentu dalam memenangkan pemilu ialah strategi yang dijalankan oleh partai politik dalam upaya komunikasi politiknya di masa kampanye. Pada pemilu calon anggota DPRD Kota Tangerang Selatan 2019, PSI yang merupakan partai baru mengalami polemik yang membuat masyarakat melabelnya sebagai partai non muslim. PSI tetap berhasil memenangkan empat calonnya untuk menduduki kursi DPRD Kota Tangerang Selatan, diantaranya ialah Ferdiansyah dan Emanuella Ridayati. Sehingga yang menjadi rumusan masalah adalah bagaimana upaya komunikasi politik Ferdiansyah dan Emanuella Ridayati sebagai calon legislatif terpilih DPRD Kota Tangerang Selatan Fraksi PSI pada pemilu tahun 2019. Analisis penelitian ini dibedah menggunakan teori dinamika komunikasi politik Melvin L. DeFleur yang menjelaskan bagaimana lingkungan fisik, situasi sosio-kultural, dan hubungan sosial dapat mempengaruhi komunikasi politik. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya komunikasi politik Ferdiansyah dan Emanuella mengalami berbagai kendala seperti biaya kampanye yang terbatas, penolakan, ujaran kebencian karena stigma PSI yang merupakan partai non-muslim, dan referensi partai politik lain yang telah di miliki dan di unggulkan di beberapa wilayah. | ||||||
