Abstract
The low interest in reading in Indonesia is a serious problem because it will affect student learning outcomes. Indicators of interest in reading include enjoyment of reading, awareness of the benefits of reading, frequency of reading, and quantity of reading. Science learning emphasizes concepts and also memorization, where these two things are embedded and become one unit in science learning. So that learning is more interesting and students' interest in reading can be trained, supporting learning media is needed. One solution to this problem is to develop scrapbook learning media. This research aims to determine the level of validity of scrapbooks and students' responses to their scrapbooks, by using solar system material to train their interest in reading them. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods, the model used is 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). This research was only carried out until the development stage, namely in limited trials. The instruments used in this research were a product validation questionnaire and a student response questionnaire. For product validation, it was assessed by 2 material expert validation lecturers, 2 media expert lecturers, 2 practitioners teaching science subjects and 35 students from 2 schools for product trials. The research results show that this scrapbook learning media has a very good level of validity with a score of 92.27%, which is included in the "Very Valid" category. Then corrected and tested on students. After getting student responses, this scrapbook media obtained a score of 89.86% in the "Very Valid" category. This proves that this scrapbook media can be used by students to train their interest in reading

Additional Information: | Rendahnya minat baca di negara Indonesia merupakan permasalahan yang serius karena akan mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Indikator minat baca meliputi kesenangan dalam membaca,kesadaran akan manfaat membca, frekuensi bacaan dan kuantitas bacaan. Pembelajaran IPA menekankan pada konsep dan juga hafalan yang dimana dua hal tersebut sudah melekat dalam dan menjadi datu kesatuan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Agar pembelajaran lebih menarik dan minat baca siswa dapat dilatih maka perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang mendukung. Solusi untuk permasalahan tersebut salah satunya yaitu dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran scrapbook. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui tingkat kevalidan scrapbook serta respon siswa terhadap scrapbooknya, dengan menggunakan materi tata surya untuk melatih minat bacanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode reserch and development (R&D), model yang digunakan ialah 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampaai tahap develop saja yaitu pada uji coba terbatas. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket lmbar angket validasi produk dan lembar angket respon siswa. Untuk validasi produk dinilai oleh 2 dosen validasi ahli materi, 2 dosen ahli media, 2 praktisi yang mengajar mata pelajaran IPA dan 35 siswa dari 2 sekolah untuk uji coba produk Hasil dari penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa media pembelajaran scrapbook ini memiliki tingkat kevalidan yang sangat baik dengan perolehan nilai sebesar 92.27% nilai tersebut masuk dalam kategori ”Sangat Valid”. Kemudian diperbaiki dan di uji cobakan pada siswa, setelah mendapatkan respon siswa media scrapbook ini memperoleh nilai 89.86% dengan kategori ”Sangat Valid” hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa media scrapbook ini dapat digunakan siswa dalam melatih minat bacanya. | |||||||||
