Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the forms and factors of language variety on TikTok Live in conversations between traders and buyers. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods to describe the data. Data collection was carried out using the observation method with basic tapping techniques and advanced techniques of skilled free listening, recording techniques and investigator techniques. Data analysis techniques through determining determining elements (PUP) and contextual techniques as advanced techniques. Data were analyzed according to the context using the speech component SPEAKING. The results of this research show that there are 32 forms of language that occur on TikTok Live, namely (1) acronym word forms with 15 data and (2) repetition word forms with 17 data. The factors that influence language variety in this research are time factors, place factors, sociocultural factors, situation factors, medium of expression factors, and age and gender factors.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan faktor ragam bahasa di TikTok Live dalam percakapan pedagang dan pembeli. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan data. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode simak dengan teknik dasar sadap dan teknik lanjutan simak bebas libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik penyidik. Teknik analisis data melalui pilah unsur penentu (PUP) dan teknik kontekstual sebagai teknik lanjutan. Data dianalisis sesuai dengan konteksnya dengan menggunakan komponen tutur SPEAKING. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat 32 bentuk ragam bahasa yang terjadi di TikTok Live yaitu (1) bentuk kata akronim sebanyak 15 data dan (2) bentuk kata pengulangan sebanyak 17 data. Faktor faktor yang mempengaruhi ragam bahasa dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor waktu, faktor tempat, faktor sosiokultural, faktor situasi, faktor medium pengungkapan, dan faktor usia dan gender.
