Abstract

Several schools in Serang City still have students' conceptual understanding results that are relatively low in the cognitive domain, as evidenced by students who get scores below the KKM. Students experience difficulties in understanding solar system material in the science learning process, one of the causes of this problem is the absence of media when learning takes place. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of validity of 3D teaching aids using solar system material, and to analyze students' responses to 3D teaching aids using solar system material to train concept understanding. This research uses a type of research and development, which is usually called the Research & Development model. The research that will be carried out is research with a development type, using the 4D (Four D) model which has 4 stages, namely, define, design, develop, and disseminate, but this research is limited only to the develop stage, namely validity testing and test student responses. The instruments used are interview instruments, validation questionnaire instruments and student response questionnaire instruments. The subjects in the research consisted of media, material and practitioner experts (science teachers), while the sample used 30 students. The validity level of 3D teaching aids on solar system material reached a percentage value of 91.25% in the "Very Valid" category, while the results of student responses showed a percentage value of 90.05% which was included in the "Very Good" category.

Additional Information: Beberapa sekolah di Kota Serang masih memiliki hasil pemahaman konsep siswa yang tergolong rendah dalam ranah kognitifnya, dibuktikan dengan siswa yang mendapatkan nilai di bawah KKM. Siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi tata surya dalam proses pembelajaran IPA, salah satu penyebab dari permasalahan tersebut yaitu tidak adanya media ketika pembelajaran berlangsung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat kevalidan media alat peraga 3D dengan materi tata surya, dan untuk menganalisis respon siswa terhadap media alat peraga 3D dengan materi tata surya untuk melatih pemahaman konsep. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan, yang biasa disebut dengan model Research & Defelopment. Penelitian yang akan dilakukan merupakan penelitian dengan jenis pengembangan, dengan menggunakan model 4D (Four D) yang memiliki 4 tahapan yaitu, define, design, develop, dan dessiminate, akan tetapi penelitian ini dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap develop (pengembangan) yaitu uji kevalidan dan uji respon siswa. Instrument yang digunakan berupa instrument wawancara, instrument angket validasi dan instrument angket respon siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian terdiri oleh ahli media, materi dan praktisi (guru IPA), sedangkan sampelnya menggunakan 30 siswa. Tingkat kevalidan dari alat peraga 3D pada materi tata surya mencapai nilai presentase sebesar 91,25% dalam kategori “Sangat Valid”, sedangkan hasil dari respon siswa menunjukkan nilai persentase sebesar 90,05% yang termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”.
