Abstract
This research is conducted by low ability of students' mathematical concept understanding, can be caused by several factors, both external factor and internal factor of student. External factors that come from outside the student self, such as methods or learning strategies.Meanwhile, internal factors that come from within students, such as emotions and attitudes toward mathematics. This study aims to determine how the level of understanding of mathematical concepts of students in SMPN 3 Serang City class VII. Survey research, with 3 classes using samples in this study. Data retrieval is done using questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of research, obtained results for the hypothesis I is with a significant range between the concepts used, low, medium, and high. For hypothesis II is with the coefficient of freedom of -0.624, negative sign means a negative relationship between the ability of understanding the concept of mathematics with mathematical theory. For hypothesis II that is with regression equation Y = 114,05 - 0,748X. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that 1) There are significant differences to the understanding of mathematical concepts of students viewed from the level of mathematics (high, medium, and low), 2There is a significant difference between the emotional level and the students' understanding of the mathematical concepts.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh Rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, bisa disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, baik itu faktor eksternal maupun faktor internal siswa. Faktor eksternal yang berasal dari luar diri siswa, seperti metode atau strategi pembelajaran. Sementara itu faktor internal yang berasal dari dalam diri siswa, seperti emosi dan sikap terhadap matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa ditinjau dari tingkatan kecemasan matematika di SMPN 3 Kota Serang kelas VII. Penelitian survey, dengan 3 kelas yang dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Pengambila data dilakukn dengan menggunakan angket dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil untuk hipotesis I yaitu dengan perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kecemasan rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Untuk hipotesis II yaitu dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,624, tanda negatif artinya hubungan negatif antara kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika dengan kecemasan matematika. Untuk hipotesis II yaitu dengan persamaan regresi Y = 114,05 – 0,748X. Dari hasil penelitian terseut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa ditinjau dari tingkat kecemasan matematika (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah), 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara tingkat kecemasan matematika dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. | |||||||||
