Abstract

The selection of learning media on hydrocarbons in the form of animated videos is worthy of development because such educational videos can attract students' interest and feature many visual elements. As a result, student motivation increases, and the use of animated video media in the classroom helps learners to see, understand, and listen to explanations of the abstract material on hydrocarbons. This research aims to evaluate the animated video media, determine its validity level, and assess students' responses to the green chemistry-themed animated video in relation to their learning outcomes on hydrocarbons. The method used in this research is ADDIE, consisting of five stages: (1) analysis stage through curriculum material assessment, needs analysis for students and teachers via Google Forms, and literature review from several national and international journals; (2) design stage involving storyboard creation, selection of media for producing animated videos, and development of assessment instruments; (3) development stage for creating the animated video product, including validity testing of the material, media, and assessment questions; (4) implementation stage through limited trials of the animated video product; and (5) evaluation stage assessing each phase. Data collection techniques included validation sheets for media, materials, and assessment questions, as well as student response questionnaires. The data were gathered from six media, material, and assessment experts, as well as 36 student respondents from one school in Cilegon city, specifically MAN 2 Cilegon, to determine the feasibility of the developed media. The research findings indicate that the validation results for the media and materials are valid, with the media validation yielding a V-count > V-table of 0.90, while the material feasibility test produced an average score of 0.86. The student response questionnaire resulted in an average score of 86%, covering four aspects: implementation, material, media, and language.

Additional Information: Pemilihan media pembelajaran hidrokarbon berupa video animasi ini layak untuk dikembangkan karena dalam video animasi pembelajaran dapat menarik minat belajar siswa dan banyak gambar-gambar yang ditampilkan. Sehingga, motivasi belajar peserta didik semakin meningkat dan waktu pembelajaran di dalam kelas media video animasi dapat membantu peserta didik melihat, memahami, dan mendengarkan penjelasan materi hidrokarbon yang bersifat abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media video animasi, mengetahui tingkat validitas, untuk mengetahui respons siswa terhadap video animasi berwawasan greenchemistry terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah ADDIE. Adapun 5 tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu (1) tahap analisis melalui tahapan kurikulum materi, analisis kebutuhan siswa dan guru melalui Google form, dan juga analisis study literatur melalui beberapa jurnal nasional dan internasional, (2) tahap desain melalui pembuatan story board, pemilihan media pembuatan video animasi, dan membuat instrumen soal, (3) tahap Development melalui pengembangan produk video animasi, uji validasi kelayakan materi dan media maupun soal, (4) tahap implementasi melalui uji coba terbatas produk video animasi, (5) tahap evaluasi melalui evaluasi setiap tahapan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar validasi media dan materi dan soal serta angket respons siswa. Data yang didapat dihasilkan oleh 6 orang ahli media, materi dan soal serta 36 responden siswa di salah satu sekolah di kota Cilegon yaitu Man 2 Kota Cilegon untuk mengetahui layak atau tidaknya media yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan valid untuk hasil uji validasi materi dan media yaitu pada uji media V hitung > V tabel sebesar 0,90 sedangkan uji kelayakan materi menghasilkan rata-rata sebesar 0,86 kemudian angket respons siswa menghasilkan rata-rata sebesar 86% dengan 4 aspek yaitu aspek keterlaksanaan, aspek materi, aspek media, dan aspek bahasa.
