Abstract
Soil is a crucial element in foundation planning because the foundation will transmit loads from the overlying structure to the soil that supports it. Therefore, a subgrade with adequate bearing capacity and stability is required to withstand these loads. Soil stabilisation is an improvement in soil quality that can be done by mechanical stabilisation methods, which is by mixing several or more types of soil materials. Mechanical stabilisation aims to improve soil gradation, increase water drainage ability, and maximise density. The use of geosynthetics, geocomposites and fibres to reinforce soil is also included in mechanical stabilisation. In addition to these methods, there is also chemical stabilisation, which is soil improvement using chemical-based materials. The quality of the soil material after stabilisation, either mechanically or chemically, is expected to improve so that its ability to distribute loads over a larger area also increases and reduces the required pavement thickness. In this study, the test soil samples were located at Sudimanik Village Road, Cibaliung Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency, Banten. Based on DCP test, the bearing capacity of the soil is categorised as very poor with a value of 1.5932%, which is below 3%, so it does not qualify as a subgrade. The grain size analysis test result showed that according to the USCS classification, the test soil belongs to the OH group with the original soil CBR value of 0.4475%. This value then increased and reached an optimum value of 6.6% after mixing with 20% fly ash and 40% GGBFS.

Additional Information: | Tanah merupakan elemen krusial dalam perencanaan fondasi karena fondasi akan menyalurkan beban dari struktur di atasnya ke tanah yang menopangnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan tanah dasar dengan daya dukung yang memadai dan stabilitas yang cukup untuk menahan beban-beban tersebut. Stabilisasi tanah merupakan perbaikan kualitas tanah yang dapat dilakukan dengan metode stabilisasi mekanis, yaitu dengan mencampurkan beberapa jenis material tanah atau lebih. Stabilisasi mekanis bertujuan untuk memperbaiki gradasi tanah, meningkatkan kemampuan pengaliran air, serta memaksimalkan kepadatan. Penggunaan geosintetik, geokomposit, dan serat untuk memperkuat tanah juga termasuk dalam stabilisasi mekanis. Selain metode tersebut, terdapat juga stabilisasi kimia, yaitu perbaikan tanah menggunakan bahan-bahan kimia. Kualitas material tanah setelah stabilisasi, baik secara mekanis maupun kimiawi, diharapkan meningkat sehingga kemampuannya dalam mendistribusikan beban ke area yang lebih luas juga meningkat dan mengurangi ketebalan perkerasan yang diperlukan. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel tanah uji berlokasi di Jalan Desa Sudimanik, Kecamatan Cibaliung, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Banten. Berdasarkan uji DCP, daya dukung tanah dikategorikan sangat rendah (very poor) dengan nilai 1,5932%, yang mana nilai ini berada di bawah 3% sehingga tidak memenuhi syarat sebagai tanah dasar. Hasil pengujian analisis besar butir menunjukkan bahwa menurut klasifikasi USCS, tanah uji termasuk dalam kelompok OH dengan nilai CBR tanah asli sebesar 0,4475%. Nilai ini kemudian meningkat dan mencapai nilai optimum sebesar 6,6% setelah dicampur dengan 20% fly ash dan 40% GGBFS. | |||||||||
