Abstract
Children with special needs often experience obstacles in socializing, both in establishing relationships with the family and community, due to the differences they feel and their self-control in developing their social skills. Through this problem solving method, students can face and solve problems skillfully, so that they can be applied to solutions in everyday life, both at school, in community and family life as well as when students work. The use of the Problem Solving method through craft learning to improve the social skills of PDBK is one of the alternatives created in this research. Several aspects of social skills focused on in this research are aspects of cooperation, aspects of self-control, and aspects of responsibility. Looking at the Wilcoxon test calculations on the research results which show that H0 is rejected because Tcount Ttable. Calculations that have been carried out using the Wilcoxon test are obtained with an importance level of 0.05 with a total of N 4, and by using the formula df n – k or df 4 – 2, then df 2. Then we get T table 2.919. So Tcount Ttable, therefore H0 is rejected. This shows that the application of problem solving methods in learning can have an impact on improving the social skills of students with special needs.

Additional Information: | Anak berkebutuhan khusus biasanya sering kali mengalami hambatan dalam bersosialiasi baik dalam menjalin hubungan dengan lingkungan keluarga maupun masyarakat yang disebabkan dengan adanya perbedaan yang mereka rasakan maupun pengendalian diri mereka untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial mereka. Melalui Metode problem solving ini siswa dapat mengahadapi dan memecahkan masalah secara terampil, sehingga dapat diaplikasikan pada pemecahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik di sekolah, kehidupan bermasyarakat dan keluarga serta ketika siswa bekerja. Penggunaan metode Problem Solving melalui pembelajaran prakarya untuk meningkatkan krmampusn keterampilan sosial pdbk adalah salah satu alternatif yang dibuat dalam penelitian ini. Beberapa Aspek keterampilan sosial yang di fokuskan pada penelitian ini adalah aspek kerjasama, aspek kontrol diri, dan aspek tanggung jawab. Melihat perhitungan uji Wilcoxon pada hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak karena Thitung Ttabel. Perhitungan yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon diperoleh dengan taraf kepentingan 0,05 dengan jumlah N 4, dan dengan menggunakan rumus df n – k atau df 4 – 2, maka df 2. Kemudian diperoleh Ttabel 2,919. Maka Thitung Ttabel, oleh sebab itu H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode problem solving pada pembelajaran dapat memberikan dampat terhadap peningkatan kemampuan keterampilan sosial peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. | |||||||||
