Abstract

This research and development research aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and determine the response of students towards learning videos on the ecosystem material for the science subject designed for fifth grade elementary school students. The material contained in this learning video media is about the definition of ecosystems, types of ecosystems, components in ecosystems, food chains, and the influence of food chains on ecosystem harmony. The research method used for this research is Research and Development or research and development with a 4D model designed by S. Thiagarajan et al. with the stages of define, design, development, and dissemination. Data collection in this research used interviews to define problems and determine solutions to problems and distributed questionnaires to determine the suitability of the media being developed according to media experts, material experts and practitioner experts, as well as to determine responses from media users themselves, namely fifth grade students. The research results are based on the average percentage value of media expert validation test results of 88% with "very feasible" criteria, material validation test results of 90% with "very feasible" criteria, practitioner validation test results of 82% with "very feasible" criteria, and the student response results were 96.86% with the criteria "very feasible". Based on these results, the learning video product developed in this research is suitable for use in teaching and learning activities in fifth grade elementary school.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mengetahui kelayakan dan respons peserta didik terhadap video pembelajaran pada materi Ekosistem mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SD. Metode yang dipakai untuk penelitian ini adalah Research and Development atau riset dan pengembangan dengan model 4D rancangan S. Thiagarajan dkk. dengan tahapan define, design, development, dan dissemination. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara untuk mendefinisikan masalah serta menentukan solusi dan penyebaran angket untuk mengetahui kelayakan media yang dikembangkan menurut ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli praktisi, serta untuk mengetahui respons siswa kelas V SDN Jurumudi Baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rerata hasil uji validasi ahli media 88% kriteria “sangat layak”, hasil uji validasi materi sebesar 90% kriteria “sangat layak”, hasil uji validasi praktisi sebesar 82% kriteria “sangat layak”, hasil respons peserta didik sebesar 96,86% kriteria “sangat layak”. Dengan begitu, video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran ekosistem di kelas V SD.
