Abstract
The objective of the research was to determine the effect of the Question - Answer Relationship (QAR) on students’ reading skills at MAN 4 Tangerang, this research aimed to find the effect of students' reading skills after being taught by question-answer relationship strategy. The design of this research was a quantitative method with a quasi experimental design. The population and sample were tenth - grade students from MAN 4 Tangerang with 2 Classes as a sample with the narrative text material. The result of the research was a significant difference between the 2 classes. The analysis’s findings showed that the mean post-test score in the experiment class was higher than the control class (80.38 > 73.12). The Independent Samples Test table has been presented, and the p-value or sig. (2 - tailed) in this study is 0.003. This value shows that the p-value is lower than the predetermined significance value of 0.05. It means the alternative hypothesis was accepted and the null hypothesis rejected. It can be concluded that the QAR has a significant effect on students' reading skills at MAN 4 Tangerang.
