Abstract
One of the problems faced in science learning is students' lack of critical thinking, even though critical thinking is a very important skill in the development of 21st Century Skills. Critical thinking can be measured through a diagnostic test in the form of a four-level multiple choice, known as the Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) based on CBT (Computer Based Test). This research aims to produce a valid test instrument based on the results of expert validation (material, evaluation, science teacher), and reliability, level of difficulty, distinguishing power, as well as knowing the readability test results of the 4TMC CBT-based test instrument on respiratory system material to measure students' critical thinking. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D), with a development model that includes the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. This research involved 45 class VIII junior high school students as samples. The instruments used consisted of validation questionnaires and student readability test questionnaires. The results of the test instrument validation assessment by the evaluation validator reached 91.60% (very valid), the material validator 93.63% (very valid), and the science teacher 95.02% (very valid). Produced 20 valid questions with high reliability consistency of 0.766, difficulty level of 16 category questions (medium) and distinguishing power of 3 category questions (very good) and 19 category questions (good). The results of the readability test questionnaire showed an average score of 89.20% (very good). This research can be concluded that the 4TMC CBT-based test instrument on respiratory system material can be used as an evaluation tool to measure the critical thinking of class VIII students.

Additional Information: | Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran IPA salah satunya adalah kurangnya berpikir kritis siswa, meskipun berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan keterampilan abad ke-21 (21st Centurly Skill). Berpikir kritis dapat diukur melalui tes diagnostik yang berbentuk pilihan ganda empat tingkat, yang dikenal sebagi Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) berbasis CBT (Computer Based Test). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan instrumen tes yang valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli (materi, evaluasi, guru IPA), dan reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, serta mengetahui hasil uji keterbacaan instrumen tes berbasis 4TMC CBT pada materi sistem pernapasan untuk mengukur berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan yang mencakup tahapan Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Penelitian ini melibatkan 45 siswa kelas VIII SMP sebagai sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari angket validasi dan angket uji keterbacaan siswa. Hasil penilaian validasi instrumen tes oleh validator evaluasi mencapai 91,60% (sangat valid), validator materi 93,63% (sangat valid), dan Guru IPA 95,02% (sangat valid). Menghasilkan 20 soal valid dengan konsistensi reliabitas tinggi sebesar 0,766, tingkat kesukaran 16 soal kategori (sedang) serta daya pembeda 3 soal kategori (sangat baik) dan 19 soal kategori (baik). Hasil angket uji keterbacaan menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 89,20% (sangat baik). Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen tes berbasis 4TMC CBT pada materi sistem pernapasan dapat digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi untuk mengukur berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII. | |||||||||
