Abstract

This research discusses the design of a flat slab structural system with drop panels, without the use of beams, according to ACI 318-19, and determines the required reinforcement using the equivalent frame method (EFM). The case study focuses on the TCD Parking Building at Taman Mini in East Jakarta, which originally had a two-story steel structure with a Gable system and was modified into a three-story concrete structure with a flat slab and drop panels. The results indicate that the flat slab system with drop panels can be implemented provided that the design can withstand the punching shear forces at the drop panel-column and drop panel-slab connections. The slab used has a thickness of 240 mm, with a thickened drop panel of 150 mm and an area of 2500 mm × 2500 mm at the slab-column connection. The redesigned building can withstand seismic forces in accordance with SNI 1726:2019 requirements, as evidenced by displacements that do not exceed the allowable limits and the absence of torsional irregularities in the design.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini membahas desain sistem struktur flat slab dengan drop panel tanpa penggunaan balok, mengacu pada ACI 318-19, dan menentukan jumlah tulangan yang dibutuhkan menggunakan metode portal ekivalen (EFM). Studi kasus dilakukan pada Gedung Parkir TCD Taman Mini di Jakarta Timur, yang awalnya memiliki struktur baja 2 lantai dengan sistem Gable dan dimodifikasi menjadi struktur beton 3 lantai dengan sistem flat slab dan drop panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem flat slab dengan drop panel dapat diterapkan asalkan desain mampu menahan gaya geser pons pada sambungan drop panel – kolom dan drop panel – pelat. Dimensi pelat yang digunakan adalah setebal 240 mm, dengan penebalan drop panel setebal 150 mm dan luas 2500 mm × 2500 mm di sambungan pelat-kolom. Redesain gedung mampu menahan gaya gempa sesuai dengan syarat SNI 1726:2019, terbukti dari simpangan yang tidak melebihi batas yang diizinkan dan tidak adanya ketidakberaturan torsi pada desain.
