Abstract
The purpose of this observation is to analyze how watching the Upin & Ipin television series can affect the social development of children aged 4-5 years old. This descriptive qualitative research uses the media of activities to watch television series. Children aged 4-5 years totaling five children in Kp. Gayam Lor became the focus of this observation. Methods such as observation, interviews, documentation and field notes were used to classify the research data. Data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing are used in data analysis. The results of this study show that through watching the Upin & Ipin television series, children can stimulate their social development because in the Upin & Ipin television series there are many examples for children to imitate so that they can stimulate their social development. Parents also said that the positive changes made by children after watching the Upin & Ipin television series often include increased concern for their peers, a sense of responsibility, a sense of sharing and a sense of empathy. The conclusion of this study is that the television series "Upin & Ipin" has an effective impact on the social development of children aged 4-5 years old.

Additional Information: | Tujuan observasi ini untuk menganalisis bagaimana kegiatan menonton serial televisi Upin & Ipin dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan sosiak anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini menggunakan media kegiatan kegiatan menonton serial televisi. Anak usia 4-5 tahun yang berjumlah lima orang anak di Kp. Gayam Lor menjadi fokus observasi ini. Metode seperti observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan data penelitian. Reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan digunakan dalam analisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa melalui menonton serial televisi Upin & Ipin anak dapat menstimulasikan perkembangan sosialnya karena didalam serial televisi Upin & Ipin terdapat banyak contoh untuk ditiru oleh anak sehingga dapat menstimulasi perkembangan sosialnya. Orang tua juga mengatakan perubahan positif yang dilakukan anak-anak setelah sering menonton serial televisi Upin & Ipin, seperti meningkatnya kepedulian terhadap teman-teman sebayanya, memiliki rasa bertanggungjawab, rasa ingin berbagi serta memiliki rasa empati. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa serial televisi “Upin & Ipin” memiliki dampak yang efektif terhadap perkembangan sosial anak usia 4-5 tahun. | |||||||||
