Abstract

This thesis focuses on gender equality in the Sociology Education Student Association (HIMADIKSIO) FKIP Untirta organization. The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the reality of gender equality in HIMADIKSIO. The realm of campus organizations often becomes a place for the actualization of gender injustices such as double burdens, marginalization, and others. The role of women in organizations is often limited to only holding administrative roles without being involved in filling strategic positions in the organization. HIMADIKSIO itself as one of the intra-campus organizations has structurally achieved equality, where women have been able to fill strategic roles in the organization in several periods. Even though structurally it has been achieved, this research wants to look in more depth at the reality of gender equality in HIMADIKSIO by analyzing 4 indicators, namely access, participation, control and benefits. This research uses a qualitative approach. The results of the analysis of the data obtained showed that there were 4 equality indicators used in this research, namely access, participation, control and benefits. In terms of access indicators, HIMADIKSIO already has open opportunities for all HIMADIKSIO members to be able to join and occupy strategic positions without discrimination. In terms of participation indicators, in general all members are able to participate without any obstacles to certain genders, both in expressing ideas and implementing main duties and functions. However, in several work programs, forms of gender inequality are still found, such as marginalization in the division of activity sections. In the control indicator, all office holders and members are able to use their authority and make decisions optimally without any obstacles to either gender. Furthermore, in the benefit indicator, all members have received equal benefits without any distinction between certain genders.

Additional Information: Skripsi ini berfokus pada kesetaraan gender pada organisasi Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi (HIMADIKSIO) FKIP Untirta. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripisikan bagaimana realitas kesetaraan gender dalam HIMADIKSIO. Ranah organisasi kampus kerap kali menjadi tempat aktualisasi dari ketidakadilan gender seperti beban ganda, marginalisasi, dan lainnya. Peran perempuan dalam organisasi kerap kali dibatasi hanya memegang peran administratif saja tanpa dilibatkan dalam mengisi posisi strategis organisasi. HIMADIKSIO sendiri sebagai salah satu organisasi intra kampus secara strukturalis sudah tercapai adanya kesetaraan, dimana kaum perempuan sudah dapat mengisi peran strategis organisasi pada beberapa periode. Meskipun secara struktural sudah tercapai, namun penelitian ini ingin melihat secara lebih mendalam realitas kesetaraan gender dalam HIMADIKSIO dengan menganalisa 4 indikator yaitu akses, partisipasi, kontrol, dan manfaat.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil analisis dari data yang diperoleh, terdapat capaian 4 indikator kesetaraan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu akses, partisipasi, kontrol, manfaat. Pada indikator akses, HIMADIKSIO sudah memiliki keterbukaan kesempatan pada seluruh anggota HIMADIKSIO untuk dapat bergabung dan menempati posisi strategis tanpa adanya diskriminasi. Pada indikator partisipasi, secara umum seluruh anggota sudah dapat berpartisipasi tanpa adanya halangan pada gender tertentu, baik dalam mengemukakan ide serta pelaksanaan tupoksi. Namun dalam beberapa program kerja masih dijumpai adanya bentuk ketidakadilan gender seperti marginalisasi dalam pembagian seksi kegiatan, Pada indikator kontrol seluruh pemangku jabatan dan anggota sudah dapat menggunakan wewenang dan mengambil keputusan dengan optimal tanpa adanya halangan pada salah satu gender. Selanjutnya pada indikator manfaat seluruh anggota sudah mendapat manfaat yang setara tanpa adanya pembedaan pada salah satu gender tertentu.
