Abstract
Autism according to Rahmadiani, et al (2022: 30) is defined as someone who lives in his own world and has a neurological disorder so that he has obstacles in the process of social interaction, communication and behavior. In this study, students were found to have low social skills, causing students to experience limitations in carrying out social interactions. Based on these problems, the problem formulation in this study is the effect of Social Skills Training in improving social skills in autistic children at SKh Kak Seto. The method used in this study is quantitative with A-B-A design. The results of the study after being given the Social Skills Training intervention showed an increase in social skills in the subject at SKh Kak Seto. The increase can be seen in the difference in A1 scores the subject got 25% after receiving the intervention to 71.87% then increased A2 to 75%. It can be concluded that Social Skills Training (SST) can improve social skills in autistic children at Kak Seto Special School.

Additional Information: | Autis menurut Rahmadiani, dkk (2022:30) diartikan sebagai seseorang yang hidup dalam dunianya sendiri serta memiliki kelainan pada neurologis sehingga memiliki hambatan dalam proses interaksi sosial, komunikasi dan juga perilaku. Pada penelitian ini, ditemukan peserta didik yang memiliki keterampilan sosial yang rendah, menyebabkan peserta didik mengalami keterbatasan dalam melakukan interaksi sosial. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah pengaruh Social Skills Training dalam peningkatan keterampilan sosial pada anak autis di SKh Kak Seto. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan desain A-B-A. Hasil penelitian setelah diberikan intervensi Social Skills Training menunjukan adanya peningkatan keterampilan sosial pada subjek di SKh Kak Seto. Peningkatan dapat terlihat pada perbedaan skor A1 subjek mendapat 25% setelah mendapat intervensi menjadi 71.87% lalu meningkat A2 menjadi 75%. Dapat disimpulkan, bahwa Social Skills Training (SST) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial pada anak autis di Sekolah Khusus Kak Seto. | |||||||||
