Abstract

This research aims to determine and test the effectiveness of using Indonesian Wonderland videos and calm short films on the poetry writing skills of class X students at SMA PGRI 109 Tangerang City. This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach and a pretest and posttest research design. The sample for this research was determined by random sampling among class X students of SMA PGRI 109 Tangerang City. The data collection technique was taken from the test results by conducting a pretest and posttest for the experimental class and control class with a grid of assessment instruments, namely theme, imagination, diction, figure of speech, and meaning. The findings in this research prove that there is effectiveness of Indonesian Wonderland videos and calm short films on poetry writing skills. The experimental class pretest results showed an average value of 60.07, while the control class pretest results showed an average value of 55.60. The results of the experimental class posttest using the IndonesianWonderland video showed an average value of 80.00, while the control class posttest results using a calm short film showed an average value of 75.20. There is a difference in the average posttest score for the experimental and control classes of 5.20 points. It can be concluded that the use of Indonesian Wonderland videos is more effective in learning poetry writing skills. These results prove that students are more interested and motivated in learning so that their poetry writing skills improve.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menguji keefektifan penggunaan video wonderland indonesia dan film pendek tenang terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA PGRI 109 Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif serta desain penelitian pretest dan posttest. Sampel penelitian ini ditentukan dengan random sampling pada siswa kelas X SMA PGRI 109 Kota Tangerang. Teknik pengumpulan data diambil dari hasil tes dengan melakukan pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan kisi-kisi instrument penilaian yaitu tema, imajinasi, diksi, majas, dan makna. Temuan dalam penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat keefektifan video wonderland indonesia dan dan film pendek tenang terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi. Hasil pretest kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 60,07, sedangkan hasil pretest kelas control menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 55,60. Hasil posttest kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan video wonderland indonesia menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 80,00, sedangkan hasil posttest kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan film pendek tenang menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 75,20. Terdapat selisih nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen dan control sebesar 5,20 poin. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan video wonderland indonesia lebih efektif dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis puisi. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa peserta didik lebih tertarik dan termotivasi dalam belajar sehingga keterampilan menulis puisinya meningkat.
