Abstract
This research is based on the problem that the evaluation tools for science subjects used in junior high schools have not developed instruments with all problem solving indicators so students have not been trained in problem solving skills. Based on the problem analysis, a test instrument was designed to train class VII students' problem solving skills on melting ice cream. This research purpose to analyze the level of validity of the test instrument and describe the level of student readability on the test instrument to train class VII students' problem solving skills on the theme of melting ice cream. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) research method using the ADDIE development model which is carried out in three stages, namely the Analysis, Design, and Development stages in testing the validity and readability of the test instruments. The instruments used to test validity were validation questionnaires from media experts, evaluation experts, and science teachers. The instrument used to test readability was the student questionnaire sheet. The expert subjects and readability tests in this research were three media expert lecturers, three evaluation expert lecturers, three science teachers, and 46 class VII junior high school students. Analyze the data descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The research results show that the overall score based on an average percentage is 86.78% with a very valid category so the test instrument for training class VII students' problem solving abilities with the theme of melting ice cream can be used as an evaluation tool. After the product was revised, the questions were reduced, resulting in a readability percentage of 81.23% in the very good category so that the test product created met the readability test requirements.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini didasari permasalahan mengenai alat evaluasi pada mata pelajaran IPA yang digunakan di SMP belum mengembangkan instrumen dengan semua indikator Problem Solving sehingga siswa belum dilatih pada kemampuan Problem Solving. Berdasarkan analisis masalah maka dikembangkanlah instrumen tes untuk melatih kemampuan Problem Solving siswa kelas VII tema mencairnya es krim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat validitas instrumen tes dan mendeskripsikan tingkat keterbacaan siswa pada instrumen tes untuk melatih kemampuan Problem Solving siswa kelas VII tema mencairnya es krim. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang dilaksanakan sampai tiga tahap, yaitu tahap Analysis, Design, dan Development pada uji validitas dan keterbacaan instrumen tes. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk uji validitas yaitu lembar angket validasi ahli media, ahli evaluasi, serta guru IPA. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk uji keterbacaan yaitu lembar angket siswa. Subjek ahli dan uji keterbacaan pada penelitian ini, yaitu tiga dosen ahli media, tiga dosen ahli evaluasi, tiga guru IPA, dan 46 siswa SMP kelas VII. Analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai keseluruhan berdasarkan persentase rata-rata sebesar 86,78% dengan kategori sangat valid sehingga instrumen tes untuk melatih kemampuan Problem Solving siswa kelas VII tema mencairnya es krim dapat digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi. Setelah produk direvisi, maka dilakukan reduksi soal yang memperoleh persentase keterbacaan sebesar 81,23% dengan kategori sangat baik sehingga produk tes yang dibuat telah memenuhi syarat uji keterbacaan. | |||||||||
