Abstract

Tanjung Peni Beach is behind the Cilegon Estate Industrial Estate. There are various wastes from industrial and community activities that are directly disposed of, and the conversion of coastal ecosystems into industrial areas causes anthropogenic occurrence. So that there is a decrease in water quality and disturbs aquatic organisms, especially macrozoobentos. This study aims to analyze the distribution of macrozoobentos and analyze the status of water quality conditions. The research was carried out in March-May 2024 at Tanjung Peni Beach, Citangkil District, Cilegon City. Sampling was done using the purposive sampling method with 3 observation stations. The data analysis included macrozoobentos abundance, diversity index, uniformity index, dominance index, morisita index, sediment texture and Family Biotic Indec (FBI). The macrozoobentos obtained consisted of 34 species. The physical and chemical parameters obtained with an average temperature of 29.5oC-32.8oC; brightness 26.3-38.5 cm; depth 38-64 cm; water pH 6.9-7.3; sediment pH 6.4-6.7; DO 4.6-4.9 mg/L; salinity 2-29.7 ppt; BOD 17.08- 36.86 mg/L. The distribution of macrozoobentos is diverse and grouped with the texture of sand sediments and clay clays. The highest abundance was obtained at station 1 which was 13,542,857 ind/m2. Based on the calculations of the three stations, the diversity value is medium, the uniformity value is small and high, and the dominance value is low and medium. The condition of water quality based on FBI calculations at station 1 is 6,057 (somewhat poor), station 2 is 6,091 (somewhat poor) and station 3 is 5,694 (moderate).

Additional Information: Pantai Tanjung Peni berada di belakang Kawasan Industri Estate Cilegon. Terdapat berbagai limbah dari aktivitas industri maupun masyarakat yang dibuang secara langsung, dan alih fungsi ekosistem pesisir menjadi kawasan industri menyebabkan terjadinya antropogenik. Sehingga terjadinya penurunan kualitas air dan mengganggu organisme perairan, khususnya makrozoobentos. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran makrozoobentos dan menganalisis status kondisi kualitas perairan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Mei 2024 di Pantai Tanjung Peni Kecamatan Citangkil, Kota Cilegon. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan 3 stasiun pengamatan. Analisis data meliputi kelimpahan makrozoobentos, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman, indeks dominansi, indeks morisita, tekstur sedimen dan Family Biotic Indec (FBI). Makrozoobentos yang didapatkan terdiri dari 34 spesies. Parameter fisika dan kimia yang didapatkan dengan rata-rata yaitu suhu 29,5oC-32,8oC; kecerahan 26,3-38,5 cm; kedalaman 38-64 cm; pH air 6,9-7,3; pH sedimen 6,4-6,7; DO 4,6-4,9 mg/L; salinitas 2-29,7 ppt; BOD 17,08-36,86 mg/L. Sebaran makrozoobentos yaitu beragam dan mengelompok dengan tekstur sedimen pasir dan lempung berliat. Kelimpahan tertinggi diperoleh stasiun 1 yaitu 13.542,857 ind/m2. Berdasarkan perhitungan dari ketiga stasiun nilai keanekaragaman sedang, nilai keseragaman kecil dan tinggi, nilai dominansi rendah dan sedang. Kondisi kualitas perairan berdasarkan perhitungan FBI pada stasiun 1 sebesar 6,057 (agak buruk), stasiun 2 sebesar 6,091 (agak buruk) dan stasiun 3 sebesar 5,694 (sedang).
