Abstract

This research stems from the problem of the need for more learning media teachers provide because, in general, a teacher still uses a conventional learning system and does not thoroughly understand the material that students can understand. This study aimed to determine the development and feasibility of SAVI-based magic box media for SD Kertasana Serang, Banten fourth-grade students. This research uses the research and development method (Research and Development). This research and development step uses six steps: problem analysis, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product trials. The results of this study are the feasibility of Magic Box learning media in SAVI learning as a means of visual learning styles of students in class IV SD Negeri Kertasana obtained through validation of material experts, linguists, and media experts. The feasibility level obtained from two material experts is 92.5%, from two language experts is 78.3%, and from two media experts is 89.5%. The three experts obtained an average value of 86.76% which was included in the "Very Feasible" category. Based on the explanation, it can be concluded that the SAVI-based Magic Box learning media is suitable for students IV SD Negeri Kertasana Serang, Banten.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertolak dari masalah kurangnya media pembelajaran yang disediakan oleh guru, karena pada umumnya seorang guru masih menggunakan sistem pembelajaran yang konvensional dan tidak sepenuhnya materi yang dapat dipahami oleh peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengembangan dan kelayakan media magic box berbasis SAVI untuk siswa kelas IV SD Kertasana Serang, Banten. Penelitian ini memakai metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Langkah penelitian dan pengembangan ini memakai desain yang yang terdiri atas enam langkah yaitu analisis masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain dan uji coba produk. Adapun hasil penelitian ini ialah telah dihasilkan produk media pembelajaran Magic Box dalam pembelajaran SAVI sebagai sarana gaya belajar visual peserta didik pada kelas IV SD Negeri Kertasana diperoleh melalui validasi ahli materi, ahli bahasa dan ahli media. Tingkat kelayakan yang diperoleh dari dua ahli materi yaitu 92,5%, dari dua ahli bahasa yaitu 78,3% dan dari dua ahli media yaitu 89,5%. Dari ketiga ahli tersebut memperoleh nilai rata-rata 86,76% yang masuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”. Berdasarkan penjelasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Magic Box berbasis SAVI layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran peserta didik IV SD Negeri Kertasana Serang, Banten.
