Abstract

This research aims to improve the social skills of group B children at RA Nurul Amal Cilegon City through role playing methods. This research uses a quantitative approach with a one group pre-test post-test pre-experimental design. The research subjects were 10 children aged 5-6 years who were selected using the purposive sampling method. Data was obtained through a social skills questionnaire with 5 indicators: cooperation, assertive behavior, responsibility, empathy and selfcontrol. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in social skills after being given treatment through the role-playing method. The average social skills score increased from 6.8 to 16.9. The Wilcoxon test shows Z = -2.814b and the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.005, lower than 0.05, which means the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, the role playing method is effective in improving the social skills of group B children RA Nurul Amal for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak kelompok B di RA Nurul Amal Kota Cilegon melalui metode bermain peran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimen one group pretest post-test. Subjek penelitian adalah 10 anak usia 5-6 tahun yang dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui angket keterampilan sosial dengan 5 indikator: kerjasama, perilaku asertif, tanggung jawab, empati, dan kontrol diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan sosial yang signifikan setelah diberikan treatment melalui metode bermain peran. Nilai rata-rata keterampilan sosial meningkat dari 6,8 menjadi 16,9. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan Z = -2.814b dan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.005, lebih rendah dari 0.05, yang berarti hipotesis diterima. Dengan demikian, metode bermain peran efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak kelompok B RA Nurul Amal tahun ajaran 2023/2024.
