Abstract
This study aims to look at the application of the Direct Instruction Model to the learning outcomes of music, especially learning block notation on the keyboard in class X SMA 11 Tangerang. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using two cycles. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA 6 at SMAN 11 Tangerang and focused on 10 students who felt they were lacking in learning the art of music. The data collection technique used in this study was a test consisting of pre-test and post-test, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively according to the results obtained from the tests carried out. The indicator of success used in this study is said to be successful if there is a positive change in students, namely students with a total score above 75 percent will be declared to have passed or succeeded individually in participating in the learning process of music art. The results showed that at the pre-cycle stage the average percentage of student scores was 26.67 percent, but after the action the students' abilities increased by 42.14 percent in cycle I. Likewise in cycle II, there was a significant increase of 49.84 percent from cycle I to cycle II or the average percentage of student scores increased to 91.98 percent after the implementation of the Direct Instruction Model. Based on these results it can be said that the Direct Instruction Model is effective in increasing the learning of block notation on the keyboard for class X IPA 6 students of SMAN 11 Tangerang.

Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif sesuai hasil yang diperoleh dari tes yang dilakukan. Indikator keberhasilan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dikatakan berhasil apabila terjadi perubahan positif pada siswa, yaitu siswa dengan jumlah skor di atas 75 persen akan dinyatakan lulus atau berhasil secara individu dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran seni musik.” “Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap pra siklus persentase rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 26,67 persen, namum setelah dilakukan tindakan kemampuan siswa meningkat sebesar 42,14 persen pada siklus I. Begitu pula pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan signifikan sebesar 49,84 persen dari siklus I ke siklus II atau persentase rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat menjadi 91,98 persen setelah penerapan Model Direct Instruction.
