Abstract
The elementary school became the Foundation for further educations. A good quality of education at the primary level will result in a level of quality the next education systematically. One way to develop students ' knowledge is through the way of thinking. The purpose of this research is to know the result of the application of the Cooperative learning model of type Two Stay Two Stray toward critical thinking ability of students in the class of v. method used in this research was quasi experiment method type nonequivalent control group design. The results of this study indicate that the average value of critical thinking ability of students in the class that implements the Two types of Cooperative learning model Stay Two Stray i.e. 79.83 while the average value of critical thinking ability among students who use direct learning model i.e. 72.33. If the note is then the difference difference between the value of the average values of both are about 7.5. Critical thinking ability of students to use learning model Two Stay Two Stray better than students who use direct learning model. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is a difference of critical thinking ability of students to use learning model Two Stay Two Stray with students who use direct learning model.

| Additional Information: | Sekolah dasar menjadi landasan bagi pendidikan selanjunya. Mutu pendidikan yang baik di tingkat sekolah dasar akan menghasilkan di tingkat secara sistematik mutu pendidikan selanjutnya. Salah satu cara untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan siswa ialah melalui cara berpikir. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil dari penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Two Stay Two Stray terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas V. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen tipe non-equivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Two Stay Two Stray yaitu 79,83 sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung yaitu 72,33. Jika diperhatikan maka perbedaan selisih nilai rata-rata nilai keduanya sekitar 7,5. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray lebih baik daripada siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. | |||||||||
