Abstract
This study aims to determine differences in students learning outcomes, higher where students learning outcomes using the demonstration method by students who using lecture method, and the activity of students in the learning process by using the demonstration method on the subjects of Sciences V class on Subject of Light Characteristic Concept. This research was conducted in SD Negeri Kresek 2 of the school year 2015/2016. This research method is a quasiexperimental. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling to select an experimental class and control class. In this study, the fiftth grade as an experimental class V A and class V B as the control class. Based on the results of this study concluded that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who use the demonstration of method with that using the lecture of method proved in tests two parties with the t count > t table or 4,77> 2,0010 then H 0 rejected H a accepted. And the results of student learning using the method of demonstration higher than students who use the method of lecture in the test right with t count > t table is 4,77> 1,671 then H 0 is rejected and H a accepted. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa, lebih tinggi mana hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode demonstrasi dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah, dan aktivitas siswa pada proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam kelas di kelas V pada konsep sifat-sifat cahaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Kresek 2 tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian ini ialah kuasi eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah purposive sampling untuk memilih kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pada penelitian ini, kelas V A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V B sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang menggunakan metode demonstrasi dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Hal ini dibuktikan pada uji dua pihak dengan thitung > ttabel yaitu 4,77 > 2,0010 maka H0 ditolak Ha diterima. Serta hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode demonstrasi lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Hal ini dibuktikan pada uji pihak kanan dengan thitung > ttabel yaitu 4,77 > 1,671 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima.
