Abstract

The Realistic Mathematics approach in learning at school is used as an effort to develop students' creative thinking abilities, because using this innovative learning approach can provide space for students to be able to think more creatively in the learning process. This research aims to find out whether creative thinking skills with a Realistic Mathematical Approach are better than an expository approach. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class V A, and 28 students in class V B at SDN Kapuk 14 Pagi. This research uses a quasi-experimental method. The form of quasi-experimental design used is Prettest-Posttest Only Control Group Design. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and independent sample t-test. Based on the results of descriptive statistical tests, it was found that the average score in the control class posttest was 50.00 and in the experimental posttest class was 81.21. This indicates that the average creative thinking ability in the experimental class is higher than in the control class. So, it can be stated that the creative thinking abilities of students who receive realistic mathematical approach treatment are better than students who receive expository approach treatment. The results of the independent sample test obtained a t table value of 1.672 < t count 9.504 which shows that Ho is accepted, namely that there is a difference in the creative thinking abilities of students who receive the Realistic Mathematics Approach treatment which is better than students who receive the expository approach treatment.

Additional Information: Pendekatan Matematika Realistik dalam pembelajaran di sekolah digunakan sebagai salah satu upaya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik, karena dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif ini dapat memberikan ruang kepada peserta didik untuk lebih dapat berfikir secara kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan berpikir kreatif dengan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik lebih baik dari pada pendekatan ekspositori. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas V A sebanyak 31 siswa, dan kelas V B sebanyak 28 siswa di SDN Kapuk 14 Pagi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen. Bentuk desain quasi eksperimen yang digunakan adalah Prettest-Posttest Only Control Group Design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan uji independent sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik deskriptif didapatkan nilai rata-rata pada posttest kelas kontrol adalah 50,00 dan pada kelas posttest eksperimen adalah 81,21. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Maka, dapat dinyatakan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik yang mendapat perlakuan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih baik dari pada peserta didik yang mendapat perlakuan pendekatan ekspositori. Hasil uji independent sample test diperoleh nilai t table 1,672 < t hitung 9,504 yang menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak yakni terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik yang mendapat perlakuan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik lebih baik dari peserta didik yang menerima perlakuan pendekatan ekspositori.
