Abstract

Electricity is a vital necessity in modern life, with many human activities dependent on electrical energy. Based on data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia has a hydropower potential of 75,000 MW, but only 10.1% has been utilized. The government encourages the use of river flows through Microhydro Power Plants (MHPP) as an environmentally friendly renewable energy source. This research analyzes the potential for micro-hydro power plants at the Pamarayan Dam, using the Hybrid Optimization Model for Energy Renewables (HOMER) method to simulate and optimize the power generation system. This analysis involves an economic evaluation based on Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC). The research results show that the Pamarayan Dam has great potential to be developed as a source of electrical energy through PLTMH, contributing to increasing the national renewable energy supply.

Additional Information: Listrik merupakan kebutuhan vital dalam kehidupan modern, dengan banyak aktivitas manusia yang bergantung pada energi listrik. Berdasarkan data Kementerian ESDM, Indonesia memiliki potensi tenaga air sebesar 75.000 MW, namun hanya 10.1% yang telah dimanfaatkan. Pemerintah mendorong pemanfaatan aliran sungai melalui Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTMH) sebagai sumber energi terbarukan yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menganalisis potensi pembangkit listrik tenaga mikrohidro di Bendungan Pamarayan, menggunakan metode Hybrid Optimization Model for Energy Renewables (HOMER) untuk mensimulasikan dan mengoptimalkan sistem pembangkit listrik. Analisis ini melibatkan evaluasi ekonomi berdasarkan Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE) dan Life Cycle Cost (LCC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bendungan Pamarayan memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan menjadi sumber energi listrik melalui PLTMH, berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pasokan energi terbarukan nasional.
