Abstract

Education is a process of changing the attitudes and behavior of a person or group of people to mature themselves, one of which is by strengthening character education. Character education is of course very important for a child's development because character education must be instilled from an early age so that in the future the character instilled can become a habit when the child grows up. Habituation is a method that is said to be quite effective because it trains good habits in children from now on. The importance of child development through habits that can trigger the development of a child's character. how to describe the process of cultivating independent character in students, explain the inhibiting and supporting factors for teachers in strengthening independent character in students and to describe the impact of strengthening students' independent character through habituation activities. This research itself uses a type of qualitative descriptive research whose research subjects are fourth grade teachers and students. Habituation activities in the SDN Gunungdatar school environment are already good and running. It can be seen that the process of strengthening habits inside and outside the classroom is going well. Because the resource person has given freedom to students to carry out habits that are usually done before and after learning activities. As we know, cultivating independent character is very important in the classroom and in the school environment, namely outside the classroom. Regarding strengthening one's own independent character, here it is said that independent character is a character that is embedded in oneself.

Additional Information: Pendidikan merupakan salah satu proses perubahan sikap dan tingkahlaku seseorang atau sekelompok manusia untuk mendewasakan dirinya salah satunya dengan penguatan pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan karakter tentu sangatlah penting bagi perkembangan anak karena pendidikan karakter harus ditanamkan sejak dini agar kelak karakter yang ditanamkan dapat menjadi kebiasaan ketika anak tumbuh dewasa. Pembiasaan merupakan cara yang dibilang cukup efektif digunakan karena melatih kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang baik pada anak mulai dari sekarang. Pentingnya perkembangan anak melalui pembiasaan yang dapat memicu perkembangan karakter anak. bagaimana mendeskripsikan proses penanaman karakter mandiri pada peserta didik, menjelaskan faktor penghambat dan faktor penunjang guru dalam penguatan karakter mandiri pada peserta didik serta untuk menggambarkan dampak dari penguatan karakter mandiri peserta didik melalui kegiatan pembiasaan. Penelitian ini sendiri menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriftif kualitatif yang bersubjek penelitian adalah guru kelas IV dan peserta didik. Kegiatan pembiasaan di lingkungan sekolah SDN Gunungdatar sudah baik dan berjalan. Dapat dilihat dalam proses penguatan pembiasaan didalam maupun di luar kelas sudah berjalan dengan baik. Karena narasumber telah memberikan kebebasan kepada peserta didik untuk melakukan pembiasaan yang biasa dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pembelajaran. Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa penanaman karakter mandiri itu sangatlah penting di dalam kelas maupun dilingkungan sekolah yaitu di luar kelas. Terkait dengan penguatan karakter mandiri sendiri disini mengatakan bahwa karakter mandiri itu karakter yang tertanam dari dirinya sendiri.
