Abstract
This research study is about the Political Dynamics of the Selection of Members of the Tangerang Regency Regional Election Commission (KPUD) in the 2024 election. There are dynamics in the formation of members of the Tangerang Regency KPUD commissioners which are influenced by factors of power and the organizational background of the elected commissioner members. Therefore, to analyze the relationship between power and supporting factors that are the dynamics in the selection process, the researcher uses the theory of the cube of power (The Powercube) by Jhon Gaventa which divides power into three dimensions, namely form, space and level (forms, spaces, levels). This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that in addition to the formal selection process that has been determined based on the Law and PKPU, there is also a non-formal selection process that must be taken by candidate candidates for members of the Tangerang Regency regional election commission. In the non-formal selection process, there are factors that determine the election of members of the Tangerang Regency KPUD commissioners. These factors include the background of student organizations, recommendations and networks owned by prospective members of the Tangerang Regency KPUD as factors that determine the election of members of the Tangerang Regency KPUD commissioners. The power cube theory shows the existence of power relations between levels in the Tangerang Regency KPUD selection process.

| Additional Information: | Kajian penelitian ini mengenai Dinamika Politik Seleksi Anggota Komisi Pemilihan Umum Daerah (KPUD) Kabupaten Tangerang Pada pemilu 2024. Terdapat dinamika dalam menetapkan anggota komisioner KPUD Kabupaten Tangerang yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor kekuasaan dan latar belakang organisasi anggota komisioner terpilih. Oleh karenanya untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara kekuasaan dan faktor-faktor pendukung yang menjadi dinamika dalam proses seleksi tersebut peneliti menggunakan teori kubus kekuasaan (The Powercube) oleh Jhon Gaventa yang membagi kekuasaan menjadi tiga dimensi yaitu bentuk,ruang dan level (forms,spaces,levels). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa di samping proses seleksi formal yang telah ditetapkan berdasarkan Undang-Undang dan PKPU juga terdapat proses seleksi non formal yang harus ditempuh oleh kandidat calon anggota KPUD Kabupaten Tangerang. Dalam proses seleksi non formal terdapat faktor-faktor yang menentukan terpilihnya anggota komisioner KPUD Kabupaten Tangerang. Faktor tersebut meliputi latar belakang organisasi kemahasiswaan, rekomendasi dan jejaring yang dimiliki oleh kandidat calon anggota Komisioner KPUD Kabupaten Tangerang menjadi faktor yang menentukan keterpilihan anggota komisioner KPUD Kabupaten Tangerang. Teori kubus kekuasaan memperlihatkan adanya relasi kuasa antar tingkat dalam proses seleksi anggota KPUD Kabupaten Tangerang. | ||||||
