Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of school principal leadership based on literacy culture and school principal supervision competence on teacher performance. Literacy culture-based school principal leadership is a school principal's behavioral norms that are used to mobilize all subordinates (teachers and education staff) to be able to work actively and creatively in connection with the development of their literacy movement program in order to achieve common goals. The method used is a correlational research method kuantitatif ex post facto. This research was conducted on elementary school teachers in Koroncong sub-district. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire or questionnaire instrument, then analyzed in depth by paying attention to various theories, expert opinions as well as references from previous research. Data analysis techniques use correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing to determine whether or not there is an influence of the research variables between literacy-based school leadership (X1) and supervision competency (X2), on teacher performance (Y). The sampling technique used the cluster random sampling technique. The findings in this research are based on reality in schools in the Koroncong District area, showing that there are still some teachers who still have difficulty in planning learning tools such as preparing semester programs, preparing annual programs, preparing basic competency standards and core competencies, teachers have difficulty In compiling teaching materials, teachers are weak in mastering classroom management as well as using IT in learning and have a low literacy culture as a reference for continually updating themselves to adapt to current developments. Teachers have a strategic role in improving the quality of education. Therefore, in order for teacher performance to be more optimal, of course the supervision influence of the principal as a leader in the school must be present. Supervision competency is a number of knowledge and skills of school principals in providing guidance and supervision to help teachers and staff to be able to implement and improve their performance in learning at school. The results of this research show the influence of the principal's leadership based on literacy culture and the principal's supervisory competence on teacher performance. In conclusion, there is an influence of literacy culture-based school leadership and the principal's supervisory competence together on teacher performance, meaning that the better the literacy culture-based school principal's leadership and the higher the principal's supervisory competence, the higher the teacher's performance. The principal as the main leader who has the authority to manage the school organization should be able to provide motivation, direction and supervision to teachers so that their performance is better.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berbasis budaya literasi dan kompetensi supervisi kepala kekolah terhadap kinerja guru. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berbasis budaya literasi merupakan norma perilaku kepala sekolah yang digunakan untuk menggerakan semua bawahan (guru dan tenaga kependidikan) untuk dapat bekerja secara aktif dan kreatif yang dikaitkan dengan pengembangan program gerakan literasinya dalam rangka mencapai tujuan bersama. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian korelasional kuantitatif ex post facto. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada guru-guru SD di kecamatan Koroncong. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument kuesioner atau angket, kemudian dianalisis secara mendalam dengan memperhatikan berbagai teori, pendapat ahli juga referensi dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi, analisis regresi berganda, uji asumsi klasik, dan uji hipotesis untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh variabel-variabel penelitian antara kepemimpinan sekolah berbasis literasi (X1) dan kompetensi supervisi (X2), terhadap kinerja guru (Y). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik clutser random sampling. Temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berdasarkan kenyataan di sekolah-sekolah yang ada di wilayah Kecamatan Koroncong menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat beberapa guru yang masih kesulitan dalam merancang perencanaan perangkat pembelajaran seperti menyusun program semester, menyusun program tahunan, menyusun standar kompetensi dasar dan kompetensi inti, guru kesulitan dalam menyusun bahan ajar, guru lemah dalam penguasaan pengelolaan kelas juga penggunaan IT dalam pembelajaran dan rendahnya budaya literasi sebagai referensi untuk terus memperbaharui diri menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman. Guru mempunyai peran strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Oleh sebab itu agar kinerja guru lebih optimal tentunya pengaruh pengawasan kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin di sekolah harus ada. Kompetensi supervisi adalah sejumlah pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepala sekolah dalam melakukan pembinaan dan pengawasan untuk membantu guru dan stafnya agar dapat melaksanakan dan meningkatkan kinerjanya dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berbasis budaya literasi dan kompetensi supervisi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. Kesimpulannya terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan sekolah berbasis budaya literasi dan kompetensi supervisi kepala sekolah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru, maka artinya semakin baik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berbasis budaya literasi dan semakin tinggi kompetensi supervisi kepala sekolah maka semakin meninggkat kinerja guru. Kepala sekolah sebagai pimpinan utama yang mempunyai kewenangan untuk mengelola organisasi sekolah hendaknya mampu memberikan motivasi, arahan serta pengawasan kepada guru-guru agar kinerjanya semakin baik.
