Abstract
Spermatophytes are one of the plant groups with the most diversity in the ecosystem. One of the locations with high potential for plant diversity is the City Forest which is part of the Green Open Space. This research was held from August 2020 until October 2021 in 3 locations which is: 1) City Forest in St. Jenderal Sudirman; 2) City forest of Kodim behind the Cilegon city government office; 3) City forest of Cibeber’s housing in St. Belibis. The purpose of this research was to examine the diversity of spermatophytes in horizontal vegetation structure of city forest in Cilegon and to analize the possibility of utilizing data results on this research that are appropriate for learning in the schools. This type of research is biological science research that is implemented in biology learning. The method used in data retrieval in the field is the double tile method and the tiled line. The results showed that the diversity of spermatophytes that found consisted of Angiosperms composed by 69 dicotyledonous species, 11 monocotyledonous species and 1 gymnosperm species. The diversity index values from the three locations of city forests resulted in higher than value of 3.5 which indicates a relatively high diversity of species. Recommendations result from this research in education is plant science magazine, encyclopedia and posters.

| Additional Information: | Spermatophyta adalah salah satu kelompok tumbuhan dengan keanekaragaman terbanyak di ekosistem. Salah satu lokasi dengan potensi keanekaragaman tumbuhan yang tinggi yaitu Hutan Kota (HK) yang merupakan bagian dari Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Agustus 2020 sampai dengan Oktober 2021 di 3 lokasi yaitu: 1) Hutan Kota Jl. Jenderal Sudirman; 2) Hutan Kota Kodim Belakang Pemkot Cilegon; 3) Hutan Kota Perumahan Cibeber Jl. Belibis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji keanekaragaman spermatophyta pada struktur vegetasi horizontal di hutan kota Cilegon dan menganalisis kemungkinan pemanfaatan data hasil penelitian yang sesuai pembelajaran di sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian sains biologi yang diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran biologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data di lapangan yaitu dengan metode petak ganda dan garis berpetak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman spermatophyta yang ditemukan terdiri dari Angiospermae yang disusun oleh 69 spesies dikotil, 11 spesies monokotil dan 1 spesies gymnospermae. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman dari ketiga lokasi HK menghasilkan nilai >3,5 yang menunjukkan keanekaragaman spesies tergolong tinggi. Rekomendasi hasil penelitian untuk diimplementasikan dalam pendidikan berupa majalah sains tumbuhan, ensiklopedia dan poster. | |||||||||
