Abstract
Background Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease of the small intestine caused by salmonella typhi. This infectious disease is still a public health problem with a total of 22 million cases per year in the world and causes 216,000-600,000 deaths (Purba, 2016). The aim of this researcher is to provide an overview of the theory and application regarding maintaining ineffective thermoregulation in children with typhoid fever using warm compresses at RSUD dr. Prawiranegara Degree The research method used is qualitative research with a research design, namely a case study using a nursing approach which includes death assessment, death diagnosis, death intervention, death implementation, and death evaluation. The subjects of this study were two pediatric typhoid fever patients who experienced ineffective thermoregulation at Dr. RSUD. Prawiranegara Degree. The results of this study showed that both patients experienced a decrease in body temperature after carrying out the warm compress. The conclusion from this study is that giving warm compresses can overcome the problem of hyperthermia in typhoid fever patients.
