Abstract

Tomato plants are a type of fruit-bearing vegetable known for their high economic value and unique flavor profile, combining sweetness and acidity. This makes tomatoes highly sought after by consumers. This research aims to investigate the effects of liquid organic fertilizer derived from chicken eggshells and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and yield of tomato plants. The study was conducted at Graha Prima Housing Block E, Mangun Jaya Village, Tambun Selatan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province, from August to October. This study employed a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RAK) consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor was the type of liquid organic fertilizer derived from chicken eggshells (p), which included four levels: 0 ml (p0), 45 ml (p₁), 60 ml (P₂), and 75 ml (P₃). The second factor was NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer (m), comprising three levels: 0 g (m0), 5 g (m1), and 10 g (m2). The results indicated that the treatment p2m2, with a dose of 60 ml of liquid organic fertilizer derived from chicken eggshells and 10 g of NPK 16:16:16, exhibited the most favorable effects on plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, fruit weight per plant, fruit diameter, individual fruit weight, and fruit count.

Additional Information: Tanaman tomat merupakan salah satu jenis sayuran penghasil buah yang dikenal memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan profil rasa yang unik, memadukan rasa manis dan asam. Hal ini membuat tomat sangat diminati konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair berbahan dasar cangkang telur ayam dan pupuk NPK 16:16:16 terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian dilakukan di Perumahan Graha Prima Blok E, Desa Mangun Jaya, Kecamatan Tambun Selatan, Kabupaten Bekasi, Provinsi Jawa Barat, pada bulan Agustus hingga Oktober. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk organik cair yang berasal dari cangkang telur ayam (p) yang meliputi empat taraf yaitu 0 ml (p0), 45 ml (p₁), 60 ml (P₂), dan 75 ml (P₃). Faktor kedua adalah pupuk NPK 16:16:16 (m), yang terdiri dari tiga taraf: 0 g (m0), 5 g (m1), dan 10 g (m2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan p2m2 dosis 60 ml pupuk organik cair berbahan cangkang telur ayam dan 10 g NPK 16:16:16 memberikan pengaruh paling baik terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, bobot buah. per tanaman, diameter buah, berat buah individu, dan jumlah buah.
