Abstract

Exchange Market Pressure that occurred during the global financial crisis was experienced by almost all regions in the world, including 15 Asian countries. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Money Supply, Domestic Credit, Current Account, Exchange Rate, Fuel Price, and Inflation on Exchange Market Pressure in 15 Asian countries for the period 1998-2023. In this study, the data required is sourced from the World Bank. The analysis method used is Pooled Mean Group Estimation (PMG) using EViews-10 software. The results of this study indicate that in the long term period, the variables of Money Supply, Domestic Credit, Exchange Rate, and Fuel Price have a significant positive effect on Exchange Market Pressure, while Current Account and Inflation have a significant negative effect. While in the short-term period, the variables of Money Supply, Domestic Credit, Current Account, Exchange Rate, Fuel Price, and Inflation have no significant effect on Exchange Market Pressure.

Additional Information: Exchange Market Pressure yang terjadi saat krisis keuangan global dialami hampir seluruh wilayah di dunia, termasuk 15 negara Asia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh Jumlah Uang Beredar, Kredit Domestik, Current Account, Nilai Tukar, Harga BBM, dan Inflasi terhadap Exchange Market Pressure di 15 negara Asia periode 1998-2023. Dalam penelitian ini data yang diperlukan bersumber dari World Bank. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Pooled Mean Group Estimation (PMG) dengan menggunakan software EViews-10. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada periode jangka panjang, variabel Jumlah Uang Beredar, Kredit Domestik, Nilai Tukar, dan Harga BBM berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Exchange Market Pressure, sedangkan Current Account dan Inflasi berpengaruh negatif signifikan. Sementara pada periode jangka pendek variabel Jumlah Uang Beredar, Kredit Domestik, Current Account, Nilai Tukar, Harga BBM, dan Inflasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Exchange Market Pressure.
