Abstract

Word term "Love Language" is currently a hot topic of conversation among people from teenagers to adults. These terms appear as if they are a phenomenon. "Love Language" was first discovered by Gery Chapman in his book entitled The 5 Love Languages. "Love Language" is one of the interpersonal communications carried out by two people, for example in a marriage relationship. The language of love or "Love Language" described by Gery Chapman has five forms or ways of expressing it. To be able to express and express the language of love towards someone who is limited by that person's imagination. So the most important thing to be able to express and express our love language to our partner is to find out what kind of love language our partner wants. This research aims to determine the form of "Love Language" communication carried out by married couples in Sindangwangi District. Using a descriptive qualitative research approach and using phenomenological research methods, interviews were conducted with 4 Gen Z married couples and 1 Gen X married couple in Sindangwangi District. The results of the research show that in a marital relationship that communicates interpersonally, there are various forms and methods of communication, one of which is that the form of communication used is "Love Language" communication.

Additional Information:	Istilah kata “Love Language” saat ini sedang menjadi perbincangan hangat yang terjadi dikalangan masyarakat dari mulai remaja hingga dewasa. Istilah kata tersebut muncul seolah seperti fenomena. “Love Language” pertama kali dikemukan oleh Gery Chapman dalam bukunya yang berjudul the 5 Love Languges. “Love Language” menjadi salah satu komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan oleh dua orang seperti contohnya dalam hubungan pernikahan. Bahasa cinta kasih atau “Love Language” yang dijelaskan oleh Gery Chapman mempunyai lima bentuk atau cara dalam pengungkapannya. Untuk dapat mengeskpresikan dan mengungkapkan bahasa cinta kasihnya terhadap seseorang yang dibatasi oleh imajinasi dari seseorang tersebut. Sehingga hal yang paling penting untuk dapat mengeskpresikan dan mengungkapkan bahasa cinta kita kepada pasangan adalah dengan mencari tahu bagaimana bentuk bahasa cinta yang diinginkan oleh pasangan kita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk komunikasi “Love Language” yang dilakukan oleh pasangan menikah di Kecamatan Sindangwangi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan metode penelitian fenomenologi serta dilakukan wawancara terhadap 4 pasangan menikah Gen Z dan 1 Pasangan menikah Gen X pasangan menikah di Kecamatan Sindangwangi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam sebuah hubungan pernikahan yang melakukan komunikasi secara interpersonal terdapat berbagai bentuk dan cara komunikasi yang dilakukan salah satunya yaitu bentuk komunikasi yang digunakan adalah komunikasi “Love Language”.
