Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of providing plant growth promoting rhizobacteria concentrations and doses of chicken manure fertilizer on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) plants. The research was started in November 2022 - April 2023 at Integrated Agricultural System Area, Curug, Serang - Banten. This research was using a two-factor Randomized Block Design. The first factor is concentration of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria which consists of four levels, namely 0 mL/L, 20 mL/L, 40 mL/L, and 60 mL/L. The second factor is doses of chicken manure fertilizer which consisted of four levels, namely 0 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha, 20 tons/ha and 30 tons/ha. There were 16 treatment combinations with three replications to obtain 48 experimental units. The results of the research using a plant growth promoting rhizobacteria concentration of 10 mL/L gave the best results for plant height parameters aged 3 Week After Plant (WAP). A dose of 10 tons/ha of chicken manure fertilizer gave the best results and had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height 1-4 WAP, number of leaves 1-4 WAP and stem diameter 1-4 WAP. A dose of 20 tons/ha of chicken manure fertilizer gave the best results number of fruit per plant and fruit weight per plant. There was no interaction between the treatment of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria concentration and the dose of chicken manure fertilizer on all parameters observed.

Penelitian dimulai pada bulan November 2022 - April 2023 di Kawasan Sistem Pertanian Terpadu, Curug, Serang-Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi rhizobakteri pemacu pertumbuhan tanaman yang terdiri dari empat taraf yaitu 0 mL/L, 20 mL/L, 40 mL/L, dan 60 mL/L. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk kotoran ayam yang terdiri dari empat taraf yaitu 0 ton/ha, 10 ton/ha, 20 ton/ha dan 30 ton/ha. Terdapat 16 kombinasi perlakuan dengan tiga kali ulangan sehingga diperoleh 48 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan rhizobakteri pemacu pertumbuhan tanaman konsentrasi 10 mL/L memberikan hasil terbaik untuk parameter tinggi tanaman umur 3 Minggu Setelah Tanam (MST). Dosis pupuk kotoran ayam 10 ton/ha memberikan hasil terbaik dan memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 1-4 MST, jumlah daun 1-4 MST dan diameter batang 1-4 MST. Dosis pupuk kotoran ayam 20 ton/ha memberikan hasil terbaik yaitu jumlah buah per tanaman dan berat buah per tanaman. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan konsentrasi rhizobakteri pemacu pertumbuhan tanaman dan dosis pupuk kotoran ayam pada seluruh parameter yang diamati.
