The researcher used quantitative research by implementing quasi experimental design as the research design. The population of this study was the students of the eight grade of SMPN 1 Cisoka. The sample was divided into two groups, namely control group and experimental group through cluster random sampling. There were 30 students in control group and 30 students in experimental group. The experimental group was taught by using fairy tale movie and control group was taught without using fairy tale movie. After conducting the treatments and evaluating both pre-test and post-test by instructing students to answer the question, the researcher found that there fairy tale movie is effective in teaching English pronunciation. The data analyzed by using t-test formula. The result of the analysis shows that t-count score is higher than t-table (4.73 > 2.00) at level of significance 5% with the degree of freedom 58. It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Based on the findings of this study, it found that fairy tale movie is effective and applicable to teach pronunciation at the eight grade of SMPN 1 Cisoka.
