Abstract
This research examines the mindset of male students in using YouTube media on their selfconfidence in learning dance. The focus of the study includes male students' mindset towards learning dance, their attitudes towards using YouTube media in that context, and the use of YouTube on their mindset and self-confidence. This research uses a qualitative methodology with a case study approach to understanding the phenomena experienced by research subjects, such as behavior, perceptions, motivations, and actions. Research subjects included the principal, dance teacher, and male students in class VIII of SMPN 16 Serang City. An in-depth analysis was carried out on all aspects related to the research to produce comprehensive generalizations. The results of the research show that the use of YouTube media can change the mindset of male students who initially feel insecure and have the view that dance is a feminine activity, to become more confident and open to dance. This finding is consistent with the mindset theory developed by Carol Dweck, especially the concept of a growth mindset. With the right process and stimulus through YouTube, male students can build self-confidence in dancing. YouTube media provides visual stimuli and concrete examples that inspire, thereby changing their views and mindset towards the art of dance.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini mengkaji pola pikir siswa laki-laki dalam pemanfaatkan media Youtube terhadap rasa percaya diri mereka dalam pembelajaran seni tari. Fokus penelitian meliputi: pola pikir siswa laki-laki terhadap pembelajaran seni tari, sikap mereka terhadap penggunaan media Youtube dalam konteks tersebut, dan pemanfaatan penggunaan Youtube pada pola pikir serta rasa percaya diri mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk memahami fenomena yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian, seperti perilaku, persepsi, motivasi, dan tindakan. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru seni tari, dan siswa laki-laki kelas VIII SMPN 16 Kota Serang. Analisis mendalam dilakukan terhadap semua aspek yang berkaitan dengan penelitian untuk menghasilkan generalisasi yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media Youtube dapat mengubah pola pikir siswa laki-laki yang awalnya merasa tidak percaya diri dan memiliki pandangan bahwa seni tari adalah aktivitas yang feminin, menjadi lebih percaya diri dan terbuka terhadap seni tari. Temuan ini konsisten dengan teori pola pikir (mindset) yang dikembangkan oleh Carol Dweck, khususnya konsep growth mindset. Dengan proses dan stimulus yang tepat melalui media Youtube, siswa laki-laki dapat mengembangkan rasa percaya diri dalam menari. Media Youtube menyediakan stimulus visual dan contoh konkret yang menginspirasi, sehingga mengubah pandangan dan pola pikir mereka terhadap seni tari. | |||||||||
