Abstract
The physical work environment affects individual comfort, health, and productivity. This study evaluates the impact of the physical work environment in the Work Systems Engineering & Ergonomics Laboratory of the Industrial Engineering Department at UNTIRTA on students' blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability and work comfort. Measurements were taken under normal conditions, dim lighting and noise. The average measurements for dim lighting were 95 lux and 90 dB for noise. The paired T-Test results showed significant differences in blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability and work comfort between normal conditions and conditions with dim lighting and noise (p = 0,000 < 0.05). The Pearson bivariate correlation test showed that dim lighting has a significant negative relationship with blood pressure and heart rate, where an increase in dim lighting can lower systolic blood pressure (r = -0.952, p = 0.000) and diastolic blood pressure (r = -0.340, p = 0.033) as well as reduce heart rate (r = -0.811, p = 0.000). Conversely, noise can increase systolic blood pressure (r = 0.858, p = 0.000), diastolic blood pressure (r = 0.562, p = 0.033) and heart rate (r = 0.934, p = 0.000). The conclusion of this study is that suboptimal lighting and excessive noise significantly increase physical stress and reduce students' work comfort.

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh lingkungan kerja fisik di Laboratorium Rekayasa Sistem Kerja & Ergonomi Jurusan Teknik Industri UNTIRTA terhadap tekanan darah, denyut jantung, variabilitas denyut jantung dan kenyamanan kerja mahasiswa. Pengukuran dilakukan pada kondisi normal, pencahayaan redup dan kebisingan. Rata-rata hasil pengukuran pencahayaan redup adalah 95 lux dan kebisingan sebesar 90 dB. Hasil uji paired T-Test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada tekanan darah, denyut jantung, variabilitas denyut jantung, dan kenyamanan kerja antara kondisi normal dengan kondisi pencahayaan redup dan kebisingan (p = 0,000 < 0,05). Uji bivariate correlation pearson menunjukkan bahwa pencahayaan redup memiliki hubungan negatif signifikan dengan tekanan darah dan denyut jantung, dimana peningkatan pencahayaan redup dapat menurunkan tekanan darah systole (r = -0.952, p = 0.000) dan diastole (r = -0.340, p = 0.033) serta menurunkan denyut jantung (r = -0.811, p = 0.000). Sebaliknya, kebisingan dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah systole (r = 0.858, p = 0.000) dan diastole (r = 0.562, p = 0.033) serta denyut jantung (r = 0.934, p = 0.000).Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pencahayaan dan kebisingan yang tidak optimal secara signifikan meningkatkan stres fisik serta mengurangi tingkat kenyamanan kerja mahasiswa. | |||||||||
