Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of mind mapping techniques in career guidance services to improve the career planning skills of class XI students at SMAN 1 Ciruas. This research design is nonequevalent control group design, which is a type of quasi experimental research. This research was conducted using 2 groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. Where these two groups are both given a pre-test and post-test, but the treatment is only given to the experimental group, while the control group is not given treatment. In this study, an initial test (pre-test) using a questionnaire for class XI SMAN 1 Ciruas to obtain initial data on the research subject. The population that will be involved in this study are students of class XI SMAN 1 Ciruas. The samples in this study were 20 students of class XI SMAN 1 Ciruas with low career planning taken using purposive sampling technique. The method of data collection is done by distributing career planning questionnaires using a Likert scale. The tests conducted in this study are Validity and Reliability tests. The results show that the Mind Mapping Technique is effective for improving student career planning as evidenced by the results of the hypothesis. In the final results in this study, the hypothesis results were answered through SPSS ver 27 where the sig results were less than 0.05, namely the results were 0.001 based on the Mann Whitney test. Based on the results of research conducted regarding the Effectiveness of Mind Mapping Techniques in Career Guidance Services to Improve the Career Planning Abilities of Class XI Students at SMAN 1 CIRUAS, it can be concluded that: There was an increase in the post-test results in the experimental group after being given treatment in the form of Mind Mapping Technique career guidance. The results in the experimental group stated that they increased from initially low to high. There were 4 students in the control group who experienced improvement without following the Mind Mapping Technique. The Mind Mapping technique is effective for improving students' career planning, proven by hypothesis results. In the final results in this research, the hypothesis results were answered through SPSS ver 27, where the sig result was less than 0.05, namely the result was 0.001 based on the Mann Whitney test. The overall conclusion is that the Mind Mapping Technique is effective for improving students' career planning which has been proven in the hypothesis answers and final Post-Test answers carried out by students after taking part in treatment using the Mind Mapping Technique. Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik mind mapping dalam layanan bimbingan karir untuk meningkatkan kemampuan perencanaan karir siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Ciruas. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah nonequevalent control group design, yang merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini memberikan tes awal (pre-test) menggunakan angket untuk kelas XI SMAN 1 Ciruas untuk mendapatkan data awal subjek penelitian. Populasi yang akan dilibatkan pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Ciruas. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Ciruas dengan perencanaan karir yang rendah yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran kuisioner perencanaan karir dengan menggunakan skala likert. Uji yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji Validitas dan Realibilitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan mengenai Efektifitas Teknik Mind Mapping dalam Layanan Bimbingan Karir untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Perencanaan Karir Siswa Kelas XI di SMAN 1 CIRUAS,dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Terdapat peningkatan nilai hasil post-test pada kelompok eksperimen setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa bimbingan karir Teknik Mind Mapping. Hasil pada kelompok eksperimen menyatakan meningkat dari yang awalnya rendah menjadi tinggi. Terdapat 4 siswa pada kelompok kontrol yang mengalami peningkatan tanpa mengikuti Teknik Mind Mapping. Teknik Mind Mapping efektif untuk meningkatkan perencanaan karir siswa dibuktikan dengan hasil hipotesis. Pada hasil akhir dalam penelitian ini hasil hipotesis terjawab melalui SPSS ver 27 yang dimana hasil sig yaitu kurang dari 0,05 yaitu hasilnya 0,001 berdasarkan uji Mann Whitney. Kesimpulan seluruhnya bahwa Teknik Mind Mapping efektif untuk meningkatkan perencanaan karir siswa yang sudah dibuktikan pada jawaban hipotesis dan jawaban akhir Post-Test yang dilakukan siswa setelah mengikuti treatment menggunakan Teknik Mind Mapping.
