Abstract

ABSTRACT The important role of teachers in optimizing early childhood knowledge, especially nutritional knowledge, the form of a learning process that will provide education about nutrition such as getting to know various types of healthy food, vegetables, fruit, milk, how to process it, and learning about PHBS. This research method uses qualitative methods by collecting data in the form of journals, reference books, scientific articles and previous publications. Apart from that, data collection also uses observation, interviews, documentation and field notes techniques. The subjects of this research were 1 teacher and 11 class A children, who were the objects of research. With results that can be said to be good, namely by carrying out all the teacher's roles in optimizing nutritional knowledge in children aged 4-5 years, starting from designing lessons, delivering material, preparing media, accompanying, guiding, to providing appropriate assessments. All of the teacher's roles have been carried out well and made children master the basics of nutrition such as knowing healthy foods, vegetables, fruit, milk, how to process them, and learning about PHBS. The obstacle is that it is difficult to focus while learning is taking place. The solutions provided by teachers raise children's enthusiasm for the learning process. Additional Information: Pentingnya peran guru dalam mengoptimalkan pengetahuan anak usia dini khususnya pengetahuan gizinya, berupa proses pembelajaran yang akan memberikan edukasi mengenai gizi seperti mengenal berbagai jenis makanan sehat, sayur, buah, susu, bagaimana cara mengolah, dan mempelajari tentang PHBS. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa jurnal, buku referensi, artikel ilmiah dan publikasi sebelumnya selain itu pengumpulan data juga menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini ialah 1 orang guru dan 11 oranganak kelas A, yang menjadi objek penelitian. Dengan hasil yang bisa dikatakan baik, yaitu dengan melakukan semua peran guru dalam mengoptimalkan pengetahuan gizi pada anak usia 4-5 tahun, mulai dari merancang pembelajaran, menyampaikan materi, menyiapkan media, mendampingi, membimbing, sampai dengan memberikan penilaian yang sesuai. Semua peran guru tersebut sudah dijalankan dengan baik dan menjadikan anak menguasai dasar ilmu gizi seperti mengenal makanan sehat, sayur, buah, susu, bagaimana cara mengolah, dan mempelajari tentang PHBS. Adapun faktor pendukung dan penghambat serta solusi dari penghambat tersebut yang menjadi rintangan bagi guru dalam mengoptimalkan pengetahuan gizi anak.
