Abstract
Junior high school students should already have good career planning skills to be able to make decisions and their career goals after graduating high school. Through group guidance services students can have an understanding and skills regarding career planning. The study is based on the fact that guidance and counseling teachers at 187 Junior High School Jakarta have limited time to provide services and do not have supporting media in promoting student career planning. Furthermore, the preliminary data that has been collected suggests that students have not had maximum career development. The implementation of group mentoring services using educational video media is a solution to this problem. The objective of this study is to identify the perpetrators of the application of group mentoring services with educational video media to the career planning of 187 Junior High School Jakarta students. The research method used is quantitative with pre-experimental research design one group pre test – post test. The sample of this research is a student of the eighth grade of the 187 Junior High School Jakarta school year 2023/2024 of a total of 12 students, using purposive sampling technique consisting of 4 male students and 8 female students. The results of this study show that there is an influence of the application of group guidance using educational video media on student career planning, this is demonstrated through pre-test results 53 and post-test 101.7.

| Additional Information: | Siswa SMP sudah seharusnya memiliki keterampilan perencanaan karir yang baik agar dapat mengambil keputusan dan mencapai tujuan karirnya setelah lulus SMP. Melalui layanan bimbingan kelompok siswa dapat memiliki pemahaman dan keterampilan mengenai perencanaan karir. Media video edukasi dipilih sebagai penunjang media layanan BK, karena memiliki gambar dan suara yang menarik perhatian siswa. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada fakta bahwa guru BK di SMP Negeri 187 Jakarta memiliki waktu yang terbatas untuk memberikan layanan dan tidak memiliki media pendukung dalam menunjang perencanaan karir siswa. Selanjutnya, data awal yang telah dikumpulkan menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki perkembangan pengetahuan karir yang belum maksimal. Pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok menggunakan media video edukasi merupakan solusi dari permasalahan ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaru penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan media video edukasi terhadap perencanaan karir siswa SMPN 187 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pra eksperimen one group pre test – post test. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 187 Jakarta tahun ajaran 2023/2024 berjumlah 12 siswa, dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari 4 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penerapan bimbingan kelompok menggunakan media video edukasi terhadap perencanaan karir siswa, hal ini ditunjukkan melalui hasil pre-test 53 dan post-test 101,7. | |||||||||
