Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of the StoryWeaver digital platform on reading comprehension skill and motivation in English learning among tenth-grade students at SMAN 14 Pandeglang. The study involved 64 students selected from a population of 192 through purposive sampling. This research used a quasi-experimental design with pre-tests and post-tests, along with questionnaires to gauge motivation, data were analyzed via IBM SPSS Statistics V24. Based on the result of the paired sample t-test, the sig. (2-tailed) value was obtained. The sig. (2-tailed) in experimental class was 0,000 < 0.05, as well as the value of sig. (2-tailed) obtained in the control class was 0.000 < 0.05, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. It means there was a significant influence of using StoryWeaver has a significant influence toward students’ reading comprehension skill. Also, the value of t = 2.863 > 2.04227, and the sig. value = 0.008 < 0.05%, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. It means the StoryWeaver has a significant influence toward students’ motivation in learning English. Based on the results of calculating the variable X toward Y1, the results are obtained of tcount = 2.863 > 2.04227, and the sig. value = 0.008 < 0.05%. Then, the results of variable X toward Y2, the results are obtained value of t = 3.182 > 2.04227, and sig. value = 0.003 < 0.05%, so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So, it can be concluded that the StoryWeaver has a significant influence toward students' reading comprehension skill and motivation in learning English. Ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan penggunaan StoryWeaver terhadap kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa. Selain itu, nilai t = 2.863 > 2.04227 dan nilai sig. = 0.008 < 0.05%, sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Ini berarti StoryWeaver memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan variabel X terhadap Y1, diperoleh tcount = 2.863 > 2.04227, dan nilai sig. = 0.008 < 0.05%. Untuk variabel X terhadap Y2, diperoleh nilai t = 3.182 > 2.04227, dan nilai sig. = 0.003 < 0.05%, sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa StoryWeaver memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman membaca dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris.
