Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition, metode Estafet Writing, metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition dan Estafet Writing terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Faktor pada siswa, pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia khususnya keterampilan menulis cerpen memiliki beberapa hambatan, diantaranya merasa sulit untuk berkonsentrasi dalam mengembangkan ide dan imajinasi dengan tema yang telah terbayangkan, pemilihan diksi yang cocok untuk ditulis, dan alur atau latar apa yang cocok sesuai tema yang telah ditentukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif karena metode ini digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel independen (treatment/perlakuan) terhadap variabel dependent (hasil) dalam kondisi yang terkendalikan. Hasil penelitian melalui Uji Hipotesis 1 memiliki kriteria thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yakni thitung = 5,39 ≥ ttabel = 1,99 maka Keputusan yang diperoleh adalah Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition memiliki pengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Kemudian Uji Hipotesis 2 memiliki kriteria thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yakni thitung = 2,37 ≥ ttabel = 1,99 maka Keputusan yang diperoleh adalah Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, metode Estafet Writing memiliki pengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Kota Serang serta Uji Hipotesis 3 terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition dan metode Estafet Writing. Hasil post-test dengan perlakuan Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition memperoleh nilai rata-rata 88,27 sedangkan nilai post-test dengan perlakuan Estafet Writing memperoleh nilai rata-rata 83,32. Kedua hasil tersebut memiliki selisih 4,95. Namun, metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition lebih unggul dibandingkan metode Estafet Writing. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan uji hipotesis 3 memiliki kriteria thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yakni thitung = 3,15 ≥ ttabel = 1,99 maka keputusan yang diperoleh adalah Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, terdapat perbedaan pengaruh dari metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition dan metode Estafet Writing terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMAN 2 Kota Serang.

Additional Information: The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition method, the Estafet Writing method, the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition method and the Estafet Writing method on the short story writing skills of class XI students at SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Factors for students, learning Indonesian, especially short story writing skills, have several obstacles, including finding it difficult to concentrate on developing ideas and imagination with themes that have been imagined, choosing diction that is suitable for writing, and what plot or setting is suitable according to the theme that has been determined. The research method used is an experimental method with a quantitative approach. Because this method is used to determine the effect of the independent variable (treatment) on the dependent variable (outcome) under controlled conditions. The results of the research through Hypothesis Test 1 have a criterion that tcount is greater than ttable, namely tcount = 5.39 ≥ ttable = 1.99, so the decision obtained is that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition method has an influence on the short story writing skills of class XI students at SMAN 2 Serang City. And the hypothesis test 2 has a criterion that tcount is greater than ttable, namely tcount = 2.37 ≥ ttable = 1.99, so the decision obtained is that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, the Estafet Writing method has an influence on the short story writing skills of class XI students at SMAN 2 Serang City. As well as testing hypothesis 3, there is a difference in influence between the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition method and the Estafet Writing method. The results of the post-test with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition treatment obtained an average score of 88.27, while the post-test score with the Estafet Writing treatment obtained an average score of 83.32. The two results have a difference of 4.95. However, the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition method is superior to the Estafet Writing method. This is proven by testing hypothesis 3 which has a criterion that tcount is greater than ttable, namely tcount = 3.15 ≥ ttable = 1.99, so the decision obtained is that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, there is a difference in the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition method and the Estafet Writing method on the short story writing skills of class XI students at SMAN 2 Serang City.
