Abstract
Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Street is a primary collector road that is a part of the National Route 3 road network. Along this street, there are several industries, warehouses, and land use as ports. In addition, this street is also the access to the Anyer Beach tourism area. This makes the traffic on this street often congested, thereby worsening the road performance. The Central Government, through the Public Works Department, decided to work on a road widening project in anticipation of decreasing traffic performance and to support industrial and tourism activities on this street. The geometric condition of the road before widening is a type 2/2 UD road (two-lane two-way undivided) with effective width of road of 7 meters and each lane width of 3,5 meters. This study aims to compare the road performance of Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Street before and after the road widening using PKJI 2014 as the analysis method. Based on the survey, it is known that the geometric condition of the road after widening is still a type 2/2 UD road (two-lane two-way undivided) but with effective width of road of 11 meters and each lane width of 5,5 meters. Research results show that after the road widening, the road capacity increased from 2557,8 PCU/hour to 3843,5 PCU/hour, the degree of saturation value decreased from 0,785 to 0,44, and the average speed increased from 25,85 km/hour to 51,9 km/hour. In conclusion, the road widening of Brigadir Jenderal Katamso Street affected the improvement of its road performance.

| Additional Information: | Jalan Brigadir Jenderal Katamso merupakan jalan kolektor primer yang termasuk ke dalam jaringan Jalan Nasional Rute 3. Di sepanjang jalan ini terdapat beberapa industri, pergudangan dan penggunaan lahan sebagai pelabuhan. Selain itu, ruas jalan ini juga merupakan akses menuju daerah pariwisata Pantai Anyer. Hal ini membuat lalu lintas di ruas jalan tersebut kerap mengalami kemacetan sehingga memperburuk kinerja ruas jalan. Pemerintah Pusat melalui Dinas Pekerjaan Umum melakukan pelebaran jalan untuk mengantisipasi turunnya kinerja lalu lintas dan menunjang aktifitas industri & pariwisata di jalan tersebut. Kondisi geometrik jalan sebelum pelebaran memiliki tipe 2/2 TT (2 lajur 2 arah tak terbagi) dengan lebar efektif 7 m dan lebar per lajur 3,5 m. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kinerja ruas Jalan Brigadir Jenderal Katamso sebelum dan sesudah pelebaran jalan dengan metode analisis PKJI 2014. Berdasarkan survei diketahui kondisi geometrik jalan sesudah pelebaran memiliki tipe 2/2 TT dengan lebar efektif 11 m dan lebar per lajur 5,5 m. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sesudah pelebaran nilai kapasitas meningkat dari 2557,8 skr/jam menjadi 3843,5 skr/jam, derajat kejenuhan menurun dari 0,785 menjadi 0,44, kecepatan tempuh meningkat dari 25,85 km/jam menjadi 51,9 km/jam dan tingkat pelayanan jalan tetap. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelebaran ruas Jalan Brigadir Jenderal Katamso mempengaruhi perubahan kinerja ruas jalan menjadi lebih baik. | |||||||||
